- Donna. I do know exactly how you feel believe me as I have also suffered from depression (Though not post natal) and I know it must be one of the worst feelings to have. (Im ok now). And so will you be soon. When I was younger we also had to have the family dog rehomed because of a family illness. We were all hneartbroken, but you must think of Koby and whats best for him. I promise you it does get better with time, though of course you will never forgot Koby. Depression does I think magnifies things too, as I know only too well. (I had depression for about six months). I agree with Kimmybear concentrate on your baby. And when you are better perhaps have a another dog. I know this does help a little. God Bless you, your baby and your partner. Will pray for you. Sending you absent healing and loads of hugsxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

- Donna, you are more than welcome! You did the right thing after all. Now you concentrate on getting totally better and looking after your new baby. Then look foward to a happy future - maybe with another furry! Take care and God bless. I shall move Koby into the blue tab - the reunited one in a day or so, as you have found him! Okay? Take care. Luv Kim x

- Hi Donna. Okay, I have spoken to the kennels - I didn't realise at the time but I know these kennels from a few years ago. Koby is fine! In fact, he is more than fine! Donna, believe me, you do not need to worry as I said before, sometimes God intervenes to help us all and even though it seems so heartbreaking, sometimes it is for the best. I think this is a good example of that. Donna, you really did do the right thing. I am so pleased to be able to tell you this: Koby has a fantastic home with owners who are experienced husky people - they really have the husky knowledge and what's more Koby has an acre of land to run in safely, without fear of an accident on the road or anywhere else because of his husky instincts to run. The kennels keep in touch with owners to check as they work with RSPCA and Koby has been homed via the RSPCA with this kennel. Who knows, maybe with these experienced owners, Koby may even pull sledges in those husky sled races in the countryside?:-) Donna, you have given Koby more love than you realise by letting him go to this new home. When you meet Koby again in heaven, eventually, many years from now, he will thank you and love you even more for doing right thing for him. You will see him again up there. God bless you Donna. You can now move forward with your life and your new baby and when you are ready, one day you can get another dog, maybe a smaller one that needs less exercise! :-)Donna, you did good, girl! Luv Kim x

- Hi , I have 4 huskies and also along with 3 others run a husky rescue ...I'll post him on my facebook wall as I have a lot of husky friends on there and also contact with a lot of rescues ...rest easy hunni , you did what was best at the time . I'm sure he's safe ...if it was a good rescue then his new home will have been homechecked etc and it would have been made certain that whatever home he went to was the right home for him :) xx

- Donna, leave it with me for a bit, I may need to work on this. As you have said, I doubt I can get him back for you, but I will try and find out how he is or what kind of home he went to. I am sure they would have given him to a loving home, so you don't need to worry about that. Don't beat yourself up about giving him up, either. Sometimes we are made to do stuff we don't really want to do, but it can turn out for the best. Huskies can be a lot of work and need a lot of runs with an owner running with them, or they can get frustrated and unhappy. They usually need to be kept on the lead in case their "instincts" kick in and they leg it. They can get into all sorts of situations; many get hurt because they can't help but run miles away. So looking after these lovely dogs can be rather hard work, especially if you've got a baby as well. I think you were very brave - you gave Koby away because you loved him. You thought you were doing what was best, even though you were talked into it. He will have a really good life with someone who has the time to give him the exercise and runs he needs. My heart does go out to you. I am so sorry you felt that you had to do this because others told you to. But as I say, sometimes things happen for a reason and not always the reasons you think. I will try my best to find out for you, okay? Please don't worry about him, he knows you did it out of love. Bear with me and I'll see what I can do. x

- Donna, do you have the phone number of the kennels? Let me try. What date was Koby taken to them? x
- 2011-11-12 01:20 donna
- I have spoke to the kennels several occasions and all they say is he is no longer in kennels. I just want to no he is safe and being treated like a prince just to put my mind at rest. X

- Have you tried speakingto the kennels? Thye should be abeto tellyou if Koby has a good home and could even check for you if they wanted. But doubt they would tell you where. Do speak to them for your own peace of mind. This is a very sad tale. Try there first and let us know how you get on. Okay? x

- Area should be south east. Maybe the rescue that he was signed over to could help you find out the answers to your questions.Last edited: 2011-11-11 16:41:35 by Spindle

- I love him so much me and my partner have nearly split up over this. I just want to no he is safe and being loved and if he is not being treated well i will try my hardest to get him back. i regret giving him up and have had sleepless nights ever since, but due to my health conditon at the time my partner said it was for the best. If he is happy with his new family i would not expect them to give him up as i would not want them to go through the same heart ache i am feeling. i would just love to no he is safe and loved. Koby is my baby and always will be love him so muchLast edited: 2011-11-12 01:24:46 by donna
