Sally's details have been passed to Sefton's Dog Warden. Jackalee a friend contacted me on Sunday to say that she had seen a parson and border collie at the Red Squirrel area at Formby that appeared lost and she couldn't catch them. I was just wondering if this was the border colliecabd if it was we would know if they had found the parson or if the parson was still missing

Thanks for contacting Sefton Council J MO. I have tried contacting the finder but have had no luck so far, so not sure about the Nature Reserve. Is there one missing in that area? Will try and ring them again later.
J MO
Was Sally found at the Red Squirrel Nature Reserve in Formby?

Hi Jackalee. Not sure if that is the right number but I work for Sefton Council so will email the poster to the Dog Warden Team tomorrow. Is the finder going to look aftet her until the owner is found?

Thanks J MO, really not familiar with the area. I took the number of the RSPCA Southport site and it mentioned both Sefton and West Lancs so wasn't sure. Is this the number for Sefton 0845 140 0845 :)
J MO
Southport comes under Sefton Council. The number below is West Lancs but worth contacting them as well because West Lancs is not too far away and lots of people do visit Southport and Collies can travel some distance. Hope her owner is found soon.

Sophomore Jinx, is there a possibility you could email a photo of Sally to us at admin@doglost.co.uk It could help an owner identify her.

Is she staying with you until the owner has been found or will the dog warden be taking her? Whichever way you must notify the dog warden by law and so they know where she is if the owner contacts them. Your local dog warden is on 01659 577 177.

Like Spindle said, you can always take her to a vets yourself and ask if they will scan her for a microchip.

Hope you find her owners soon and please keep us posted :)
Spindle
Perhaps vet can scan and see if microchipped.

Thank you for taking the time to list this found dog and ensuring the safety of the dog.
Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
Please check on our Missing pages in case the Found dog has been registered as missing with us.
If possible please add a photo as this greatly assists our work in matching Found dogs with Missing dogs.
