Any news on the gorgeous Jay? Sincere best wishes in your search.stolen Tays mum x

Hi, the family were very relaxed - strolling and chatting. The Sprocker was on an extending lead and was being "busy and happy" - sniffing around and trotting about 20 to the dozen, if you know what I mean. He looked very young - maybe 9-18 months? The Lickey Woods are a popular dog-walking place where there are regulars and visitors - I hadn't seen these people before that I remember, but I'll certainly keep watch in future for Jay, just in case.

Hi, Jays owner here......still no news but hoping that he was taken home by someone and not lost, at least more likely to be ok that way. As said before if been found then he will eventually be scanned and found to be chipped. Haven't given up hope yet, and never will. Thank you for everyone for continuing to look out for him. As for the possible sighting, Jay was a very energetic dog and never relaxed, always on the go with his legs or nose, so was the dog relaxed or the family?Last edited: 2012-01-04 22:55:44 by lrg66

Thanks Sue, I have sent an email to owners to let them know. I have not heard any more about Jay so I am guessing that there has never been any sightings.
Thanks for posting Ei, Jay was lost in a very popular holiday area, it is possible that he was found and taken home with holiday makers but unlikely. We just have to hope that if this did happen then his chip will show up when taken to a vet at some time.

I did see a young Sprocker resembling Jay today BUT it was in the Lickey Woods in B45 (just south of Birmingham) so very unlikely to be him. I only noticed him because I was looking out for a Sprocker missing in this area who also has a white chest, but is brown not black. The sprocker I saw was with a family with young children and all seemed very relaxed. and I didn't see your lost post till afterwards. I umm'd and aa'd whether to post as it's so unlikely to be him, but posted just in case there are any other possible sightings around here. Sorry - didn't mean to raise anyfalse hopes. Goodluck in finding him. xLast edited: 2012-01-04 20:22:56 by Eileen

Jay is friendly and would come to anyone if he thinks there may be food about. Just nee4d everyone in the area to be aware that he needs to be caught rather than a local dog gone walk about.

I have spoken to the son of the owners who have had to drive back home today, I have left my number for them to call me when they arrive. All authorities are aware that Jay is missing, he has been sighted in the area. We need any helpers in the area to poster the walking places. Jay was spooked on a walk.

Sorry to see that JAY is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
