- Have just had an update from Becky at the Animal Wardens on the 2 found dogs. I don't think either are Alvin but thank you mumstaxi and bertiejess for posting the details :)
251387 - Liverpool L8 was unfortunately found dead and taken to Halewood RSPCA, gender unknown but I think its a bit far for Alvin??
251423 - Manchester M14 is a male westie cross. His name is Lucky and he was reported as missing to Petlog on the 24/9 but the AW's have been unable to contact his owners. Found in the Manchester M9 area, which I think is the Blackley area. Will have a mooch around and if anyone knows anything, please contact the AW's with the reference number :)Last edited: 2011-11-16 14:48:19 by Jackalee (Kathryn) - Area Co-ordinator - Greater Manchester - 2011-11-16 14:03 Jackalee (Kathryn) - Area Co-ordinator - Greater Manchester
- Spoken to Alvins owner. It is not known if he was stolen or if he got out of the garden, he does have a tendancy to climb the hedges. There have been no reported sightings of him so far. Lots of posters have been put up in the area and all the right people have been notified. Have recommended that they notify the microchip company and visit both Manchester and Leigh Dogs homes. It could be either depending on what area Alvin could be picked up in.
Have sent advice email. I was away from my pc when I rang so I forgot to mention about the 2 below dogs, will ring them again later with the details.
Poster, poster, poster - got to make him too hot to handle :) - 2011-11-16 11:38 bertiejess

- Sorry to see that ALVIN is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (34514)

- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
