Thank you for all the support and kind words. I am afraid there is still nothing at all in the way of news about Sammy. It is 3 months now and his coat will have grown and he will look like a typical cairn again. I can only hope that the people who have him are treating him well. I don't know how he will cope with a life off the farm where there are no barns and rats!!! to chase. Anyone who sees a 'new' adult wheaten coloured cairn in their area may want to contact me...just in case. Thanks stevie

This little guy is the spitting image of my cairn Jake....same beautiful red wheaten colour. I have 4 cairns in total so am total nut about this breed. Anything i can do to help please, please let me know...i'm nowhere near you in terms of distance, but will keep my fingers and toes crossed that he finds his way home safe and sound. xxxxx

I am still desperately searching for Sammy. If anyone in any area sees a dog like this advertised or notices someone with a 'new' dog like Sammy (his fur will have grown more now) please let me know. We are a busy tourist area, lots of holidaymakers pass by, so he could be anywhere in the country. He may well have a new collar and address now too. Stevie

I'M DOING A STAND AT THE EMPINGHAM DOG TRAINING CLUBS ANNUAL AGILITY SHOW ON SAT 23RD & SUN 24TH JULY - A HUGE SHOW AT GRANTHAM. IF YOU WANT ME TO TAKE POSTERS OF YOUR DOGS PLEASE PM ME WITH THE PAGE ON DOG LOST, REF OR DESCRIPTION & NAME OF DOG OTHERWISE IT TAKES ME HOURS TO FIND THEM. I'VE DONE SMALL PICTURES OF THEM ALL ANYWAY BUT IF YOU WANT A4 SIZE ON DISPLAY WITH OTHERS TO HAND OUT THEN PM ME AND I'LL GIVE YOU MY ADDRESS TO SEND THEM TO. I am in TQ4, but have walked the river dart trail walks between Kingswear and Greenaway and Dartmouth and Dittisham both on 4th July. No sign there regretfully. Hope he returns.

Sammy is not home yet. I believe he was taken from the lane outside our farm on Saturday morning 25/06. Unfortunately we live in a popular tourist area and Saturday is change-over day for holidaymakers. My big worry is he has been taken out of our area. Any sightings please as he is desperately missed. Thanks for the all the messages.

What a beautiful cairn! I have two Westies who often unintentionally end up a similar colour (well, half of them does) after digging in the fields around here. Hope he comes back home soon, where he belongs.
