I know it’s been a long time but posting on long lost/stolen spaniels
What a gorgeous boy 💔xx

We are still looking for him and will never give up. We have had no sightings of him since the day we lost him. His brother Barney was so distraught we have finally got him a companion - Ebony a black rescue Labrador and they adore each other. But there will always be a bed and a cuddle home with us for Bruce if he is ever found. Many thanks to everyone who has passed on any possibilities and we have followed up on all of them.

Could this be him? http://www.nationalpetregister.org/fp/39365.htm

Maybe have a look at Found 40946, looks similar and photo can be deceptive xx

I just texted the owner to let her know about "found" dog 35939 so that she can take a look. It may be false hope, but the two dogs look quite similarLast edited: 2012-01-04 20:53:17 by Sylvia

Probably the face is a bit too dark, but worth having a look at the found dog 35939, as I don't think its that far away.

Thank you, I got the posters, thanks for sending the plastic wrappers too. I shall put up the posters all around my area in popular dog walking places this weekend. I hope Bruce will come home soon.

I know it's quite a way from you, but have you checked out the dog 34521 who was found on 13 Nov - he has now been rehomed so is on the dogs reunited page. From the photos he does look quite similar to Bruce x
Kimboarcher
Thanks Sylvia - would be happy to print out and send to you. My mobile number is 0777 3577768 can you text me your address and I will pop in the post to you? If you don't have a mobile please ring the number on the ad above and leave me a message with your address? Many many thanks
Sylvia
You could put up posters at the pub in Priddy village. A lot of walkers in the area go there. And there's a big woods (forgotten what it's called) just off the Old Bristol Road up past the Hunters Lodge Inn at the crossroads with Priddy Road and Old Bristol Road. Lots of dog walkers go there. There's a parking area and umpteen places to put posters. Unfortunately I haven't got a printer or I'd be happy to do it myself. But please do contact me if you want to send me posters
Kimboarcher
Thanks Sammi-T. You're right the carnival was really loud this year and we thought it may have spooked him into hiding or trying to get away from the noise. We just hope he will be spotted again - the last time was Sat 19th Nov so think he must still be in the area.

I will also keep a lookout as live in midomer Norton and hubby drives to work in wells every day. i see Bruce went missing the day of wells carnival. i was there myself and it was heaving. Just thinkinghe may have been picked up by someone out of the area as people come for miles for the carnival. stay safe Bruce xLast edited: 2011-11-24 15:30:41 by Sam U

Thank you so much for all your help, it's terribly upsetting for us and we can only hope he's found. His brother Barney howls at night for him :(
Sylvia
I am from the BA6 area but get out and about most everywhere with my dog, so will definitely keep a lookout for Bruce. I hope he is home again very soon
BBKM
Hope you get another sighting soon so you can bring this handsome lad home..Keep checking any barns, sheds used or unused in the area probably got a den now, and also he may be hanging around any pubs/B&B's for food...Stay safe Bruce xx
Shelties MUM
We will print out posters in case he heads this way. We also lost our sheltie in an unknown area to him. again with the help of dog lost and volunteers he was found some days later in woods. Good luck and keep positive.

We have put posters up in our outdoor shop in Cheddar Gorge and asking all walkers to keep their eyes open. So sorry about Bruce, we lost our Ridgeback in the hills and with the help of Lost Dog and local walkers we found her days later still up in the hills. Best of luck

I've tweeted and forwarded to contacts in the area, hope Bruce is found safe soon.

Called owner to request photo. Also given them some advice on scenting the area as Bruce was spotted on Saturday in the woods behind the house. Posters have been put up all around the area.

Sorry to see that BRUCE is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (34706)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
