I am smokie the Aspull bandit's mum. I want to express my sincere thanks to everyone for their concern about him especially Lex who picked him up and took good care of him. It has rstored my faith in people and no amount of thanks is enough to her for saving him from further harm. He ran of whilst being walked, very un characteristic of him but he is a lovely dog but very nervous. We can only assume he was some how spooked.I am sorry that I didn't get her details so I could show her our appreciation and Smokie would love to send a thank you card especially for the chicken dinner. Many thanks again

I have spoken to the owner and she said that "Smokey" the Aspull Bandit seems fine but she will get him checked out just in case. Thanks to Hippy Chick for all her help and advice. What a great site this is! Lex x

Thank god this girl has been picked up a friend came in work this morning and said she seen this dog get hit by a car this morn and just got up and was all over road again so happy to see shes been reunited was thinking about her all day. Might be worth a trip 2 vets just for a checkover...

Pleased to say this boy's owners have been found. The finder has done a fab job and contacted the right people to locate them. He is one lucky boy as was found wondering on the roads!! Thank you Lex for all your help and getting him back with his owners :)x

Spoken to the finder. The dog is currently in her care. I have advised to contact the DW to report it and she will try and get to a vets to check for a chip. I have also requested a photo. I have asked to keep in touch for an update..
