Dead Jack, so sorry you had to leave your family so soon but I hope that you had fun running free before you left. Try and warn your animals friends still here about the dangers of railway lines. Have fun at the bridge until your family collect you. xx
digbysmum
How dreadful - another young victim lost to the railways. My thoughts are with Jack's family at this very difficult time. Run free at the bridge, beautiful Jack xx

Marianne, I lost my dog to the railway. I understand. Please know, he would not have suffered. And, you DID find him and bring him home! The heartbreak you have is the reflection of the love you shared with Jack and that love will never change. He will always be yours and you, his. You will together again, I promise you. And this time, they'll be no trains, no heartbreak, only love and togetherness forever. Jack has earnt his wings so God had to call him home. God bless you and sweet Jack.x

Thank you for your caring comments at such a difficult time. We went to collect him yesterday and he looked peaceful. The people at the station said that he had been there max 1 day. I spoke to somebody from DogLost this morning and they confirmed that he had probably passed away max 2 days ago. This morning I spoke to a vet and she confirmed that he had probably been on the tracks for max 12-24hrs (based on my description of him). I think it happened during the evening of the 29th of November. Maybe somebody looked after him for 5 days and he decided to come back home. We will never know. We buried him this morning and the children were there too. At least, he went quickly and probably had the time of his life roaming around freely, chasing rabbits and other furry things. Thank you for all of your support. DogLost is a wonderful website and I have been most impressed. It is a very difficult time.

My sincere condolences to the owners.run free young man until you meet your loved ones again , never to be parted...
Emma
It's surely not the best outcome, but by far it's not the worst. He left the world whilst doing what he was meant to; running freely without a care in the world. Rest peacefully, little guy. I'm so sorry for the family. Too many lost to the railways. ;_; xxx
Saza

Have just been looking at the map of area where Jack went missing and see there is a railway line fairly close by. Hate to raise the subject , but have you spoken to the railway people who check the lines? Last edited: 2011-11-29 20:04:23 by Saza

He still hasn't come back and I haven't had any phonecalls in response to my flyers or posters, which is strange. I will wait for the Surrey Advertiser to call me today. Thank you for your messages.

Surrey advertiser will be ringing you shortly Marianne...

Any more news on this littele fella?
Do agree there seem to be quite few of dogs disappearing , under suspicious circumstances around Surrey and close by and feel that there should be something that could be done to co-ordinate the facts and try and get to the bottom of who is possibly taking them.
Hope Jack comes home soon.x
Marianne
Hi. Wanted to add that I have spoken to dog warden in Woking too.

The microchip company has been informed and Jack is now classified as LOST. We really hope that he comes back, however, he is such a little cutie - so we are worried that somebody has taken him. I will put some more posters up around Stoke Park in Guildford and the area around the Spectrum in Guildford.
