Great to see Cairo is back HOME with his family and young daughter. Grouped two photo/s together for a REUNITED photo which finishes his page off nicely.

WELL DONE to everyone who helped in the search, sharing and especially to his breeder, helper who took the sighted photo and helped breeder search for him and a massive THANK YOU to his finder for taking the time to care for him and best of all checking DogLost to find him registered on here. Woo hoo.

Sending the gorgeous Cairo and his little bundle of joy a massive big hug and cuddle. xxx

Now here is an interesting twist to the story. Remember the sighted dog in SK15 from the other day - ID 34778??? It was Cairo all along :)

The lady who found Cairo on Monday had picked him up from the same area that the malamute was sighted in. On the search by Cairo's breeder and the lady who reported the dog in SK15, they were told that there was a female that lived in the area and was allowed to roam during the day. Little did they know that Cairo was there too and probably why he stayed in the area - he'd found a friend! The finder took Cairo home the same day as the last search and started looking for the owners which is why there were no more sightings after that.

Talk about coincidence - wow!

Sorry muddiwarx, Cairo is still missing but there is a dog in the found section that has been sighted that looks very much like him so the owners and breeder are trying to locate this dog to check if it is Cairo.

This is the sighted dog http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog_blog.php?dogId=34778
Muddiwarx
Where was he last seen - is he loose or with people? I am unclear?
Is he likely to come if called?

Have just spoken to Cairo's owner. He has been reported to the police, dog warden and posters are up in the area and where he was last seen. Have recommended postering far and wide due to the distance this breed can travel. Also contact and visit Manchester Dogs Home especially as Cairo#s chip details aren't up to date, MDH will write to chip address if unable to contact. Update chip details asap.

Cairo went missing on the 18th and the sighted was first seen on the 21st, so hoping it's Cairo but until we know for definite cover every option and poster, poster, poster. Keeping my fingers there is some good news soon.

I have spoken to Cairo's breeder who knows the area where the found dog is. He regularly takes his dogs jogging along the canal past the area. He is on his way to the area with Cairo's sister to check it out.

Thanks for posting the info frannkidee, which pets page is that? Is there any chance you can add a link to it on here.
frannifanni

Is this the dog that is in the 'found' section down as a husky but it is in SK15, sitting on wasteland, as photo was from a distance it may be confused as a husky.Last edited: 2011-11-27 14:50:32
