What a fabulous outcome for your uncle and Blue. I hope the people who had adopted her understand, and manage to find another dog. Naughty kennels for not following proceedures ...hope they get their act together in future. This damn 7 day rule is oh so wrong. Way to go Doglost team!Last edited: 2011-12-02 02:11:43 by Neighbark

My Uncle wants once again to thank everyone for their help and support on here. "Lou" in particular was very helpful and he appreciates this very much.

The people who Blue had been sent to had took good care of her, so thanks to these people too, if they ever happen to read this.

I hope other people looking for their dogs have the same success we did.

Thanks.

Hello everyone.

Just an update that my Uncle will be getting Blue back tomorrow.

I don't know all the details, but it's something along the lines of the kennels hadn't followed proper procedure, due to failing to contact my Uncle as soon as they received a dog that matched the description that my Uncle reported, when she went missing.

After 3 weeks of searching, we didn't get anywhere, and it looked like he'd never get her back.

However, as soon as we hear about this site, we had positive leads in less than 12 hours of posting that she was missing.

Thanks to everyone for their help. It's a fantastic site, and I will be making a donation to this site in my gratefulness.Last edited: 2011-11-30 14:39:32 by JBH

Really sorry to hear this. I know that if I had taken in a dog and the real owners finally managed to track her down I would hand her over knowing full well how they would feel. Best of luck now, I hope you can get to the bottom of this and get her home x

Oh so sorry to hear this. Lets hope if it was definately Blue who has been rehomed, then there may be a way to get her back. Sorry I can't haven't got the knowledge to advise you, good luck x

I'm so sorry that Blue was found and rehomed without your knowledge. Such a shame. I have no idea of procedures when this happens.

I was just wondering about the dog that was found in Dinnington. Was it definitely a blue/grey whippet? I only ask because Dana, a silver brindle whippet went missing in Dinnington and there has been no sign of her since. Forgive me for asking but thought it worth checking although I'm pretty certain Dana's owner has been checking kennels on a regular basis and would have spotted her if it had been her.

Once again, really sorry that you've not been able to get your Blue back :(

Hello everone. Thanks for your help and comments. Great site this.

The dog found in Bradford (34864) is not Blue. Just to clear up, the white patch on the picture, is just flash from the camera. It's not white coloured fur.

There is a positive update, however. Some information came through this morning, thanks to this website, and Blue was found in Dinnington, quite a long time ago, and given to a dog warden. She has now been re-homed.

I rang the main office of the kennel she was taken to, and they won't disclose any details to us.

Wish I knew about this website sooner, although I have been going to all the kennels in the area on a daily basis, and checking local papers etc.
Is there anything I can do, or any way I can check that the proper procedures were taken by all parties, in re-homing Blue?

Thanks again.

Edit: If this information can be found on this website then I apologise. I had a quick look, but couldn't find anything.Last edited: 2011-11-28 23:07:46 by JBH

Thanks for posting on Blue's page, her owner has been alerted. No chip has been found on 34864 but we always recommend not to rely on the Chip they have been missed before. Blue has been missing for a while now and could be anywhere. Would be great if it was her, wishing Blue's owner lots of luck. x
