- This little bitch is settling into a foster home and going to vet at 5.20 for medicine for her kennel cough.

- 9:28-Phone call to Kennel.Dog still unclaimed. Collection has been arranged for Monday 5th December by West Yorkshire Dog Rescue who will arrange adoption and rehoming.

- Doesn't matter who saves this dog as long someone does! Believe she is still unclaimed. She is at Fleet Lane Kennels Queensbury Nr Bradford 01274 880408 .Please ring the kennels DIRECT if you are interested in this dog as they will know of the current situation of the dog or anyone who has already expressed interest in her? I only know what the kennel tell me on the phone so better to speak to them direct rather than going through me. The person who said she was interested was going to talk it over with her husband-but not heard anything from her. I'm not in a position to rehome her as I have 2 border terriers but would like to know she is safe.

- my name is Kathy. Whippet Rescue have been in contact with you about me and the little blue whippet. We have been rescuing whippets for 12 years now and have recently lost one. We would very much like to register that we would like to see whether she will like our little family of husband, wife and 7 year old whippet Ruby. Please email or ring me asap. We have arranged to pick her up on Monday. sunday would be better but we can manage Monday. thank-you.

- Glad to hear she will be safe - couldn't bear the pts option, she is soo like one of mine also called Blue! Sorry to hear it wasn't Blue, hope she's found soon.Last edited: 2011-11-29 18:03:03 by The girls!

- Spoke to the kennels at 3:30pm and she's still not claimed. A cleaner at school is very keen to take her. The dog has until Monday to be claimed and I'm going to put a poster in the local shop. We are keeping on top of this and will ring daily. Not sure if there is a connection but today we have heard of 3 dogs missing in the BD6 area in the last 2 days and another has been put on this site too! I'm wondering if someone is releasing dogs from gardens????

- Great news Sandra :)

- Glad you're able to take her for JR Sandra. I'm sure she'll find a lovely home if she's not claimed by her owners.

- Am really sorry to hear it Julie :(
Biccy, if this is one of those kennels where they only have a certain time before they are PTS, then please, please call me on 07795966084 and I will take her in awaiting word of her owners or failing that I could arrange for a permanent home for her via a whippet rescue. I couldn't bear that to happen. I live in Manchester so am out of the area a little but better than something terrible happening to this poor girl.
Thanks, Jenny - 2011-11-29 10:34 julie
- called kennell it's not blu- too old :(

- Hi
It's Julie owner of Blu, there are more photo's of blu on the facebook page I have set up to find her, helpfindblu. I have left a message at the Kennells but they don't open until 9am x - 2011-11-29 07:03 biccy
- It is Julie owner of Blu I have spoken too on the phone but its extremely unlikely because of the distance. I only saw the dog from a distance it was the school caretaker who caught her and she only took the one photo on her mobile. Will be ringing kennel today for an update.

- Hello, unfortunately this is not my Uncle's dog "Blue" who went missing in Rotherham on 4th November. Does look similar though.
Nevertheless, thanks for everyone's help.Last edited: 2011-11-29 00:45:16 by JBH - 2011-11-28 21:59 tw02cow
- Hiya. Not really any of my business but not sure if you are aware that there is another whippet called Blu (without the e) that Julie who has posted on here is the owner of. She went missing very far away from where this dog was found, and it would be even stranger if this was her but you do hear stories of dogs being picked up and then dumped far away for whatever reason. Please can you bear her in mind. Blu is 34018. Sorry for poking my nose in if it's not needed but I have been worrying about this dog for a while, even though she has nothing to do with me. Thanks, Jenny

- I have spoken to Blue's owner and given her details of the dog and kennels. It would be a very long journey she has taken if it is Blue but worth her owner checking it out.Hope for a good outcome for both dogs. Re Area-most locals would say we are North West (certainly where our weather comes from!) not North East and I wouldn't tend to view dogs listed in North East

- I think this looks very much like Blue, hoping it is Blue. I agree with Majorjet, Blue could be anywhere, fingers crossed xLast edited: 2011-11-28 20:34:24 by BBKM

- Changed the Region from North West to North East. Julie we always advise not to rely on the chip, they have been missed before so worth following up. Blue has been missing for a while now and could be anywhere.
Biccy, thanks for registering the details and uploading a photo, if not Blue hope she is reunited with her family soon. x - 2011-11-28 19:00 julie
- I know it's a long way away but really looks like our Blu, is it definatly not microchipped? Julie

- Just my opinion, but I think that white patch on Blue's pic is just glare from taking a photograph of a photograph. There is a blue whippet still missing but from even further away, number 34018. A very long shot I know... Hope it get's re-united with it's owener very soon.

- I posted this from work as the dog was running around our school grounds this morning. The caretaker managed to catch it and took it to Fleet Lane Kennel. Bradford is a long way from Rotherham so unlikely to be Blue. We checked the photo of Blue before posting but this dog doesn't have a white patch on its leg.I believe the caretaker also phone the number on Blue's posting? The dog was calm well behaved, but thin.It had no collar and no microchip was found when scanned.Last edited: 2011-11-28 18:11:08 by biccy
