Oh Sharon, wish I'd seen your post earlier I would have joined you. Hopefully you've still got my email and mob no. Let me know if you're going again Vicky
wensmum
Sharon, so hope you get him home soon - have you spoken to the farmer who owns the woods and to the guy at Hewell Kennels - backs onto those woods, he is a real dog man, can give you phone numbers if you need - pm me through facebook or text me. Glad Rags posters still up, tho it wasn't her, it was Alfie, but thank you for info.
Sharongolfer
No luck today. i spoke to the lady that has seen him. She has seen him 4 times in the last coupld of weeks. She has put food out to try and get him. Left my number with the Game warden. Rags posters still up everywhere, tell Rags owner.
B30
Good luck today Sharon
Sharongolfer
Going over to Brockhill Woods tomorrow morning if anyone wishes to join me.
Sharongolfer
Had a sighting. Brockhill Woods. Someone got in touch Via Scoobys FB page. They said that he has been seen a few times in the last 2 weeks. The farmer said that someone has been shooting Geese and dropping them in the woods which would have attached him back to the area. Please Dog walkers make your way over to Brockhill Woods area. ( near the prison)
Eileen
Still no news then, Sharon? :-( It does take a while for the Village mag to get fully circulated, so I'm still keeping everything crossed that the article brings some good news for you. x
Sharongolfer
Really pleaseed with article. Good awareness raiser for Scooby and for Micro chipping
Eileen
Just seen the Village mag - well done, Sharon - really eye-catching! Please please please let it lead to Scooby's return home where he belongs.
Vics
Well done Sharon, keep it going!!!!
Come on Scooby get them paws back home where they belong!!

Still looking for out for him, as you say, he's got to be somewhere.
Good luck with the mag article xx
Sharongolfer
The Village Magazine will be running an article in the next edition. Let hope it brings some sightings.
Sharongolfer
Scooby will be 4 next month. I really am grateful for your help. i had a thought last week, we haven't really covered Rubery and people often drive, over the lickeys down mearse lane and then past our house. i have put a few posters up in the high street but ran out of ties . will go back tomorrow. Come on Scooby. We are praying for you.Last edited: 2012-01-15 20:24:03 by Sharongolfer
Eileen
Thanks for the posters Sharon, and for the pack of plastic ties. I had already checked out the Orchard Walk today through to Burcot, via roads and fields to Linthurst Road, Lower Shepley Lane, and Spirehouse Lane through to Burcot Nursery, and all the posters were intact, tho some were a bit rain-damaged. All of them were still legible enough, so I'll use your new posters for the Lickey and Cofton ones that were a bit illegible now.
Sharon, how old is Scooby? I only know you and him from the walks we fleetingly met on.
Keep strong and positive! We WILL find him !!! xx
Beaglemum
I am still on the lookout Sharon whilst on my travels. My heart leapt today as I was walking up Billy Lane as a young woman was jogging along with a chocolate Sprocker on a lead but it was only a youngster. I guess you may have seen her around although it is the first time I have seen her.
Sharongolfer
Ei - I did some more laminating yesterday so will pop some in. Someone has him....but who? I have double check with the highways and with network rail and they have had no animals found in our area and they definitely do scan all animals picked up, dead or alive. Come on Scooby.
Vics
In for a penny in for a pound, I'd def do both sides of the platform on the Redditch track in more than one place too, the train often waits several minutes before moving off as it has to wait for the express trains on the mainline.
Your laminated ones I put up are still in place (I keep checking on them).
Come on Scooby, get yourself back home!!!!
Eileen
I saw the Fiery Hill entrance one, Sharon. As for the platforms, someone once told me that it's easier to seek forgiveness than approval, so poster away as much as necessary! Some of those I put up have been damaged by the wind/rain - if you have any more laminated ones, please can you pop a few through my door. Hope the Village mag were helpful.
loopy76
Hi Sharon, I work on Brockhill Lane and will print a few posters off and put them up! We have a Sprocker ourselves and i would be heartbroken if he ever went missing! Good luck xx
Sharongolfer
I put one on the platform entrance on the fiery hill side. I will do one on the platform tomorrow, they can only arrest me lol
Vics
Do you have to get permission to poster a railway station? while travelling to Brum on the train, it waited at Barnt Green for several minutes, human nature makes you look out of the window, got thinking some Scooby posters would be a good focal point x
wensmum
Thank you Sharon. If there is anything I can do, let me know on here or on Ragsie's page
Eileen
Sorry there was no luck today Sharon. Good luck with the Village mag - I've had contact with them about something else, and they are really nice people, so I'm sure they'll help. x
Sharongolfer
No luck today. Thank you so much for all the postering. I am going to call the Village Magazine tomorrow to try and get an article in it. I will mention Rags too. I will do more postering in Sidemoor because the wind and rain has caused alot of damage.
Eileen
How did it go today, Sharon?
I did Lickeys today, and postered Fiery Hill and Cherry Hill and Warren Lane entrances, and got the Visitor Centre to put his poster in the window by the eating area as well as yours on the noticeboard. If you can think of anywhere else I could poster, just say.
How de we keep him bumped up?
Sharongolfer
Thank you for all the efforts. i think i will plant myself in Sidemoor tomorrow and try a get a sighting of the dog and check if its Scooby
Eileen
Have been postering as much as poss - have used all the laminated ones (thanks for those, Sharon) and unlaminated ones. Have done playing fields,Bittell Farm road - entrance to the fields and the bridle path; Orchard Walk, Linthurst Road, and fields beyond + Spirehouse Lane; and Lickey End playground; and Cofton car park and Chestnut Drive where the path goes to the fields. Have also accosted various walkers and handed out fliers. Like Vics, I also got "Oh, that's the dog in the paper" .....so all publicity is helping to keep Scooby's profile up there! I am determined that we'll bring Scooby home. Last edited: 2012-01-03 20:30:38 by Eileen
Vics
Sharon, nice to meet you, wish it was in better circumstances. Ipsley & Morton Stanley Park now both done. While doing the park a lady stopped and said 'oh that's the one that was in the paper the other day'. Nice to know the ads are remembered.
COME ON SCOOBY, GET YOURSELF HOME!!
Beaglemum
I am still on the lookout Sharon and I was pleased to meet you last week. I am in the area for a few hours tomorrow and will be looking out for Gizmo also.
B30
It would be good if you could find the dog that keeps getting reported to you Sharon if only to eliminate it.
Eileen
Can you drop a few off at my house please Sharon? (Think you know where it is but if not, pl text) I can do our local walks - Lickeys, Playing Fields/Bittell Farm Road, Orchard Walk. And Hopwood vets. Am going to Waseley today so will take poster there - can go again with laminated one if needed. Fingers crossed for the recent sighting in Holly Road. Will call re recent Found Springers today.
Sharongolfer
Yes please Vics. That would be really helpful. I had a call yesterday from a guy who said they had seen him on Holly Road, wearing a red collar. Thats the 5th call i have had with the same info since he went missing. I dont know if its him or a dog that looks like him i will keep going over to get a sighting.
Vics
Hi Sharon, I can do Morton Stanley Park & Ipsley Meadows Redditch for you, both popular dog walking areas. If you think it might help I'll text you my info Vicky xx
Sharongolfer
Have done more postering I have a laminator now so will be busy. If anyone wants any please let me know I will get them to u. I have been reading dogs lost every day and have found it really encouraging to see that some dogs are found after months of looking.
wensmum
Hi Sharon - you can get contacts for your local vets from RCVS website http://findavet.rcvs.org.uk/find-a-vet/ - has email addresses and phone/fax numbers. I am doing quite a bit of work on the scanning angle - you may wish to contact Denisa Delic at the Kennel Club, and let her know how you feel - Denisa.Delic@thekennelclub.org.uk - she is heading up the microchip committee. If you wish, I can copy you in on all the correspondence. I'm sorry this isn't any help for you now - wish there was something more useful I could do - am watching for him where ever I walk
Sharongolfer
We havent given up. I was interested to see this campaign http://www.vetsgetscanning.co.uk/html/about.htm. Next week I am going to target vets and get an article in the village magazine
Vics
Willing Scooby home to where he belongs, still in my thoughts, still looking xx
Eileen
Unfortunately none of the Springers listed as found were Scooby. I've texted Sharon. Scooby is of course a Sprocker, but worth trying Found Springers in case. Pleeease keep looking and suggesting ideas. Last edited: 2011-12-23 22:04:09 by Eileen
Pawprints Dog RescueJD
Sadly the dog id 35561 is not Scooby, so sorry he has not been found yet x
wensmum
Hang in there Sharon, we both have lots of support, Rags wonderful crowd also know about and are keeping eyes open for Scooby. I know it is so hard, but the support is with us. Thinking of you - such a hard time.
Vics
Sharon, I know it's prob a long shot, but have you considered putting a wanted ad (obviously use a different name/phone number) out for an 'adult spaniel type dog' etc. If he's been stolen and sold on the buyer could have changed their mind but be too worried to advertise him for sale because of the coverage he's had.
Eileen
I've phoned the 4 with no picture yet. Left messages for 3 to call back. The mobile no. for the Nuneaton one is a Doglost helper - she hasn't seen the dog yet herself + is expecting a photo, but knows of Scooby and would phone you straightaway if she thinks it's him. I'll text you when I hear from the others.
Sharongolfer
Yes please, I cant stand the disappointment when I ring.
Eileen
Sharon, I've had a look at the Dogs Found listing, there's a mobile number on for this one - 07970 289641
I've looked down the list and there are 4 other "Springer"s listed as found since the date Scooby went missing - different parts of the country though - only possible if Scooby had been taken and then released . Unfortunately only one has a photo. A real long shot but would you like me to phone them?
Sharongolfer
The number for Pheasants Nest Kennels which has been listed is not recognised. I have googled them. The only kennels are a boarding kennels is this the same one because the number is very different.
Sharongolfer
I hope its him, but Nuneaton is a long way away so I am not getting my hopes up. He is chipped.
Pawprints Dog RescueJD
Please note, I haven't seen this dog yet and hope to get pic over next couple of days. Found in Camp Hill, Nuneaton on 22 December - Liver/White Spaniel in nice condition approx 3/4 years old. Now at Pheasants Nest Kennels in Nuneaton tel. 01676 542566 just adding to doglost when I saw this post x sadly I am unaware of the sex of this dog as yet x
Eileen
Keep your spirits up Sharon. I'll keep looking and calling out for Scooby on all my walks around us ...........he WILL come home, we just have to keep looking for him
B30
Advertised in this weeks Countryman's Weekly magazine.I hope it brings some news.
B30
Sharon I know this might seem like a set back but his advert is due to be published in the magazine this week so that will get him some more publicity. Keep postering, he's got to be somewhere
Sharongolfer
Its horrid not knowing where he is. I am goint to do some more posters in Blackwell today. Please come home Scooby
Vics
Come on Sharon, stay positive!!!!! There's plenty of folk willing him back to you. xx
Sharongolfer
Just back from the Finstal area where the horse rider spotted him. I spoke to a small holder on Grimley Lane, who owns a Brown Spaniel and lets him roam the field, so I guess that must have been the dog that was spotted nor my Scooby. I am at a bit of a loss now. : ((
BBKM
Sharon I am just wondering if you are keeping a map of his sightings. You may already know this but usually a lost dog travels in a triangle formation, as he will be trying to make his way home. Some only travel in a straight line too. If you can mark where he has been sighted and the times this may help you to focus within an certain area. He may have a safe den somewhere, keep checking all sheds, used/unused barns, stables etc in the area he is being sighted. Good luck, wish I lived closer to help you. Stay safe Scooby x
Vics
Sharon I know exactly where you mean, I'll do another walk tomorrow. How positive is the sighting in Hunt End Redditch?
Vicky
Sharongolfer
I will look again tomorrow. The horse riders friend saw him on Thursday in the fields behind the Cross Pb towards Grimley Lane
Vics
I've just walked my 2 dogs down the towpath, Tardebigge towards Stoke Prior checking the bushes incase he may have been sheltering, also earlier around Blackwell golf course, no sighting today, but will keep trying. x
Beaglemum
I have been around Barnt Green today Sharon and will be back for a couple of days next week if you get any sightings and maybe I could turn out to help? I will text you my mobile number.
B30
Sharon, have emailed you the info that we spoke about earlier on scenting.
Sharongolfer
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Find-Scooby/254986914560448 This is Scooby's Facebook page. More photos on there.
Sharongolfer
He loves other dogs so if he is around in that area he would be drawn to them.
Vics
Saw your ad in the Redditch Advertiser. Worcester/Bham canal at Tardebigge not far from me, can go for a walk along there tomorrow. Would he respond better if my dogs (both friendly) are with me or not?
If he's gone from Sidemoor Bromsgrove to Finstall it sounds like he's moving southLast edited: 2011-12-16 17:10:34 by Vics
Eileen
Good news - that does sound promising. I keep checking on here daily to see if there's any news - it was great to see some more positive news. Shout if I can do anything.
BBKM
Sharon you are doing brilliant, it does seem that Scooby is trying to make his way home. As Sue as suggested laying a scent may help him. Good luck, come on Scooby gorgeous boy your nearly home, stay safe x
B30
Great news about the calls Sharon. Maybe he's trying to make his own way home? I'll try to call you this evening and we can see if it might be possible to lay a scent to help him back home
Sharongolfer
Grimley Lane also isnt too far from our house.
Sharongolfer
I have had some calls from the newspaper ad. One sounds really promising. A horse rider saw him last weekend by the canal path in Finstall, Grimley Lane. They tried to get him but he was spooked by the horse. He didnt have anyone with him. If anyone lives near there please look out. I will go over today.
B30
Sharon maybe you could have a word with the Parish Council, explain how hard you are working to find your dog and assure them that you'll remove the posters once he's found. Sometimes speaking to someone personally can make all the difference.
Sharongolfer
Scooby is in the Local paper again, I am hoping for a phone call. i have also done some more lamp post posters as the parish council have removed the ones off the notice boards Thanks !
Unknown
Might be a good idea - it could bring in more sightings. Liz xx
Sharongolfer
Just been walking the Sidemoor area of Bromsgrove. Still no luck. I am wondering whether to run the advert again?
B30
Sharon I've emailed you and copied you in too LizLast edited: 2011-12-11 20:46:26 by B30
Sharongolfer
Liz- can you resend me the email with the phone numbers and advise again. I cant find it.
Sharongolfer
Thanks everyone for looking still. I have had 4 calls from the Advertiser advert, all in the Bromsgrove Sidemoor area. Its not too far from Shepley so it could be him. We have been over every day but had no luck. One school girl said she saw him on Holly Road and a lady walking a dog also said Holly Road. Someone else said he has seen him a few times on the fields opposite the fruit farm on Perryfields Road. Its not a bad dog walking area so if anyone walks over there please look for Scooby
Neighbark
...are there any travellers sites nearby? might be worth taking a look, and putting posters up near there. Rags mum will know where they mostly are.
B30
Well done on getting such good coverage in the Advertiser and more reports of sightings.
Eileen
I walked Bittell bridle path and Cofton Church Lane and fields to Cofton yesterday, but no sign. The advert in the local paper (the Advertiser) is great - almost a quarter page colour - can't miss it. As a result, Sharon has had unconfirmed sightings in Bromsgrove. Please keep looking in a wide area everyone - he could have travelled quite a distance or even been picked up and dropped somewhere else.
Beaglemum
I have been in the area today and walked the dogs as well as driving around but seen nothing. I will have a look around the Cofton Church Lane area tomorrow before I leave B'ham. Have you put any posters out Sharongolfer? Will be out of area for a few days. Keep thinking of the poor boy out in this horrible weather.
Sharongolfer
Someone thought they saw him ;last week near reservoir road. So its in a similar area, maybe he is hidingout in stables over there.
Beaglemum
I am hoping to be around Barnt Green on Thursday so will take a walk and a drive around the area.If he has been around the Cofton Church Lane area there are lots of places where he could lie low. Apart from the Lickey Woods there is the sailing club and all the paths and fields around the reservoir. Perhaps a poster left at the sailing club? Apart from Rags disappearing not too far from there, a Staffie type has also gone missing from the Lickey Golf Course which is pretty close too.Last edited: 2011-12-07 00:01:30 by Beaglemum
Neighbark
Also, I'm sure you've already checked this, but do u have any fox or badger holes large enough for Scooby to go down and get stuck in?
Neighbark
I think this is fairly close to where Rags went missing. I'd go onto Rags facebook sight, and inform Caroline (Rags owner). CAroline and all Rags supporters have almost compiled a list of every vet in the U.K. and all their emails addresses will be available. I will put this straight onto my facebook sight now. Are / were there any travellers around at the time? Were there any men around walking lurchers? Quite significant!!! Last edited: 2011-12-06 22:09:26 by Neighbark
B30
Didn't see anything but left a poster at the village hall. Have you postered Cofton Park? Such a popular place for dog walkers, maybe he would come out of hiding for other dogs. There's also security at Cofton Centre in case he were to go in there
Eileen
I'm also so sorry no luck with this possible sighting. You couldn't be doing more Sharon. Will walk over Cofton Church Lane fields/Lickeys tomorrow in hope we'll spot him. Shout if I can do more.
B30
Sorry no luck Sharon. I'll be going to Cofton Village Hall in a little while so I'll have a look around as it's not a million miles away from the other hall. Also the car park backs straight onto the Lickey Hills so if he went in the woods he could end up there. I'll leave a poster at the hall and have your number in my phone in case I see anything.
Sharongolfer
Cofton Hall, the Jesus Army place down Cofton Church Rd.Just come back no luck : ((
Unknown
There is a Cofton Hall,Cofton Hackettt, B45 8BB.
B30
Do you mean Cofton Hackett Village Hall?
Sharongolfer
Someone just called to say they may have seen him by Coften Hall Please look I am on my way there now.
Sharongolfer
Hi thank you for all your efforts. I am placing an Advert in the local papers this week, hopefully that will help. Also I was interviewed on H & W radio last week but nothing came from it. We havent stopped thinking of him or looking for him.
Eileen
Keep thinking about Scooby. Is there anything anyone can suggest for me to help the owners to find this lost boy?
Beaglemum
Owner's neighbours told me about Scooby on Thursday as I walk my dogs around there when I am in B'ham and park my van in Shepley Road. I suggested they register Scooby on here so at least now plenty of people will know about him. I am not in the area for a few days but when I am I will be on the alert though I know it is possible that he has been picked up. My sister lives in Blackwell and rides her friend's horse around that area so will let her know. Keep safe Scooby xxx.
Eileen
I contacted the owner this morning. Such an awful worry for them. A friend and I walked the fields around there this morning and handed out more posters No sightings yet. Come home soon Scooby.
DogLostNina
Why not get the local schools involved children see and hear a lot. Offer a reward towards schools funds.
B30
Thanks for your help guys. Ei please can you contact the owner to find out if a search is planned and the details. I'm sure they'd appreciate it.
Eileen
Just seen this. I live in Barnt Green too - will put up posters, but let me know if I can help with a search. I have a long walk with a friend planned for tomorrow morning - why don't we join forces in your area of Barnt Greeen to do a search?

Spoke to owner, Scooby was with her on their land, then he went into neighbouring field, she blew the whistle but he did not return as he normally does, owner feels he may have been picked up.
