Just seen on facebook that Raff is home...so pleased for you all and it's good he's now been chipped...I was brought up in Glossop till I was 12 and many of my school friends came from farming families, I know how big the moors are up there and how much snow they can get...hopefully Oliver will be found next xxxx

Gillian
Have you heard any more about Raff and the Sheffield rescue? Glossop Mountain Rescue were wondering which part of the Pennine way he was lost from - although, if it's not him in the rescue, then no doubt he has moved on by now :(

Thanks Lizzy :)

Hi' Gillian, thank you for your kind offer. If you could share his details on Facebook that would be great or any sites that you know of relating to the Glossop or surrounding areas :)

I have registered him with the council Dog Warden, Animal Warden, Victoria Vets in Glossop and posted to RSPCA Glossop Facebook page...

Ive spoken to the owner. Raff was rounding up one lot of sheep and his other dog was rounding up another. Raff then just ran off. The owner called and whistled him but he never came. He tried to find him but had two lots of sheep and another dog to sort out. Raff has ran off from this area once before but found his way back. It is a good 2 hour walk to the place he went missing from the farm. The land isnt flat (similar to the snake pass)and can only be got to by foot. The owner has been back but the fog was to bad to see anything. The area is on the penine way heading to Sheffield. It is a vast area!
He has informed the game keepers and tried to contact the council DW for High Peak, but had problems with it being weekend. He is going back to the area in the morning as the weather has forecast snow conditions tomorrow afternoon.
He doesnt have a photo of Raff, only puppy ones , so i have asked him to google similar Border Collies and send us one that way.
I know different contacts for Glossop area that i will be helping the owner with. There is a concern someone could of picked him up on the penine way and he might be out of the area.
I will be catching up with him tomorrow afternoon...
