Found on Summer Lane in Pagham, very near Pagham Rife but on the other side from where he lives having followed a person on a walk. He was then taken to Downlands vets on Monday evening and then to New Carlton Boarding Kennels (Arun council). The reason it took so long for us to find him is that the dog warden for Chichester council is different from Arun council and they did not compare their records, nor did the police. A key piece of advice would be to ring the local vets as that would have led us to him as well and definitely get your dog chipped to avoid such hassle (and a £73 fine). Thank you so much for all those who have helped look for him - God bless and Merry Christmas to you all.

Have been in touch with owner to offer help. Have suggested postering as much as possible, contacting the dog warden, scenting the area and leaving items of bedding or clothes that Bertie will recognize. Hope this helps bring Bertie home.
