Really pleased for you. I always check in to see if the dogs I have been sharing information about have been found. What a wonderful Christmas present !Last edited: 2011-12-19 22:16:03 by Nightingale

WE HAVE HER BACK!!!!ABSOLUTELY OVER THE MOON. Words can not describe how lucky we feel to find her. She appeared at my mums legs between The Rising Sun and Cleeve Hill Golf Course on Cleeve Hill at lunchtime. It was VERY SURREAL! She recognised us all instantly. She is VERY thin but besides that seems well. She is eating and drinking for England. Im trying to feed and water her little and often. This evening she has gone quite stiff and found it quite hard to climb the stairs and is now sleeping in her bed. I will be getting her checked up at the vets tomorrow. HUGE thanks guys!!Your support and guidance kept me going! Will do all I can to help others in the same situation. Gemma x

Thanks Sue and Maria XX You are doing a wonderful job X

The Washpool is on Cleeve Hill - you park in the quarry car park (past the golf course) then head straight up to the top tee off point (above the car park) and look across to the left slightly and you can see the washpool from the top (it's surroundings are quarry like) the other way to get to it is to follow the path (winchcombe direction) through gates and follow pathline down the hill until the wall runs out and head off on a righthand gradient - this will get you there too but if in doubt ask someone - most people who walk up there will know where you're on about x

What's Dilly like with other dogs - would taking my dogs to the area entice her to come out or scare her off?

This is fantastic news Gemma!. Ive explained to Gemma , lost dogs that are scared really go feral, after even a short space of time, they wont recognise you as their owner, they must be approached very carefully, ifyou see Dilly , drop down to ground level and dont make eye contact , call her name and the others the owner have posted quietly and try and draw her to you maybe with food . Well done Gemma , hopefully tomorrow will bring some news ! Good luck !! You are doing fantastic XX Thanks Maria XX You are a huge help in our areaLast edited: 2011-12-17 20:38:45 by Mollychops

UPDATE*** I missed seeing Dilly by 30mins today. She ran towards the washpool in Cleeve Hill then got scared and ran to a farm. the farmer tried to pick her up and she bit him and wriggled free. She headed back towards the washpool. i am going there again tomorrow to look for her. Please do join me if at all possible. Calling her name and saying 'biscuit' and 'mee-meeps' might help but she is VERY nervous so might be best to call me on 07866 405 489 kind regards Gemma (Dilly's owner)

Thanks Animal Magic. This little dog has been seen a few times now, and will run off when approached, scared. A kind local person on the hill has been feeding Dilly, and she has been taking the food , but aagain running off when she tried to get close. A local farmer has also spotted her eating his pheasants pellets !! She is a survivor OK !! Once feeding patterns are establishesd, I suggested getting a trap up there. Owwner is doing loads, day and night searching all the time. Ive suggested maybe getting some night vision gogles and sitting in a car watching . Will send out scenting and plotting advice now

I spoke to owner at lunch time, not had time to amend till now, thar Dilly is a girl!. Dilly is not from this area but was being walked by owners friend who she was staying with. Owners have phoned all vets and DW, Cheltenham dogs home, which they are doing on a daily basis. Dilly has no id on her or is she chipped, so owners have to move fast here, spreading the word and postering. There is a piece going in the local paper tomorrow. Hopefully this will bring some news. I will email out advice sheets, local rescues and a link to her poster now. Thanks Kcopeland for youR help as always in this area XX and Jodie thanks too , for your kindness whilst looking for your own dog Fred XX Lets hope they are both home soon.

Hi, Gemma (Dilly's owner) has emailed to say that she is in the muddle of a leaflet drop and also feels that Dilly may have headed towards Southam/Kayte Lane as planty of fields and barns to hide/shelter in. Dilly is a female and Gemma is trying to register to get onto the site but currently having problems - she is checking on here for updates though.
Mollychops
will contact owners
jody
The area where Dilly has gone missing is right on the same site where we had a potential sighting of Fred, our lost bichon frise, on Sunday. A link has been shared on Fred's facebook page (Fred missing bichon frise) and I have circulated on my fb page too, so that people can search for both missing dogs at the same time. Fingers crossed that they both turn up safetly - let me know if there's anything else we can do to combine efforts x.

Thanks for your offer of help kcopeland. Don't think the owner looks on here so why don't you give them a call to offer help.
kcopeland
Hi where abouts did Dilly go missing from and would you like a hand with putting some posters out? It may be worth looking towards the Kayte Lane side of the racecourse if this is where he went missing - plenty of fields and barns plus he could have travelled down the old railway line? My email is k.copeland@hotmail.co.uk and this is checked regularly if you would like a hand? x
