Lovely to see this dog safe. Lucky his guardian angel "Shereen" was on the case. Welcome back Sammy.

Could so easily of been appart from the fact Sammy is a clever dog and turned right instead of left...Right led him back to the rural area...Just horrendous my heart stopped for a while I can tell you!

This little dog is so amazingly lucky!I drove to do my christmas shopping but took a detour just incase I saw Sammy.well I did but on the woodcote road which is the reading/oxford road very busy and very dangerous,if I had left home 30 seconds later I wouldnt of seen him.A 4x4 had stopped where he was running up the verge so stopped my car and blocked the traffic from passing, the people in the 4x4 bless them got out and tried to grab Sammy and he just legged it accross the road and luckily up the drive to mapledurham golf course.he ran and ran,a dog walker tried to grab him but obviously by this time he was in flight mode,he took a track that went up on to the golf course and i followed him and lost him but tracked his pawprints all the way along and out the other side, met with owner and showed him where he went.,I had to leave then but about an hour later got a call from Jayne at HQ to say sammy was at last caught!!another call had come in from the poster that thier brilliant dogwalker (Cheryl)had put up which he had covered alot of ground again,as owners were driving up the road Sammy was trotting down towards them,he recognised the sound of the engine and jumped up at the car, sammys owner jumped out of the passenger side and got his lead on him,and he jumped into the car all waggy tailed,I so glad this ordeal is over for Sammy and family and is at home safe and sound having a nice belly rub!He will be walked on a long line for a while now!!!!Last edited: 2011-12-18 19:35:25 by Shereen

A huge massive thank you to Cheryl for all the effort she put in to getting a successful outcome for two very happy owners who will never be able to thank her enough. The help given by Cheryl's husband Pete and Angela also very much appreciated.
