- You are all so very kind. Hudson had surgery on his leg on Wednesday 28 December, and now has a pin in his leg, and a frame around it to keep everything in place whilst it heals. He's so happy to have found people who love him. Thanks so much for everything you did for us - we are incredibly grateful. I have posted messages on Twitter to that effect, so hopefully you will get more publicity for this invaluable service. xxx

- Oh my goodness! Poor Hudson, but fantastic that he is safe now and home. Now you can have a Christmas with your new baby! I am SOOOOOOOO pleased! Well done the Clinic! Thank you! JennyB you can be a DogLost helper - we need people like you out "in the field". You've been thru it so know how to help. Right now you look after Hudson and get him all better so he can be a helper too!God bless you and Hudson. x

- I let friend know who is also kennel for stray dogs. Its bit far out of her area BUT dogs can cover a large area. Speak to BARK,JERRY GREEN,HALFWAY HOME - all dog rescues in area - just in case some one picks him up and takes him to nearest kennel - they shouldnt take him in but may do to keep him safe until dog wardens back after Xmas. I will also cross post onto rescue forum as lot of people in the area.

- It is possible for dogs to walk quite a big circuit, so I would try and get word out further afield. Anyone out there in 7 mile radius to help poster? We need this baby back home and quick. Look for food outlets that Hudson will smell amd go to - they can smell a long way off. JennyB - you are doing so well, keep going. You CAN do this! x

- BEEN OUT SEARCHING THROUGH THE NIGHT AGAIN AND LATE MORNING/AFTERNOON. COVERED NEWARK TOWN CENTRE, LINCOLN ROAD AREA, BRUNEL DRIVE INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, A46 AROUND NEWARK, COUNTRY LANES BETWEEN NEWARK AND COTHAM. WE HAVE BEEN DOWN TO ELSTON TO CHECK IF HIS SECOND OWNERS HAVE SEEN HIM (NO LUCK AS YET).
****POSSIBLE SIGHTING - CHRISTMAS EVE*****
DROPPED IN AT THE LORD TED PUB AT FARNDON, AND A STAFF MEMBER RECALLS SEEING A LARGE BLACK DOG TOGETHER WITH A SMALL WHITE DOG ON THE OLD A46 WITHOUT OWNERS. THE DOG WAS JUST STANDING THERE, SO STAFF MEMBER CANNOT SAY FOR SURE WHICH DIRECTION HE WAS HEADING IN. THIS SIGHTING IS A LITTLE VAGUE, BUT AT LEAST IT IS SOMETHING. IT FITS WITH THE LOCATIONS OF ELSTON AND NEWARK, WHICH IS POSSIBLY WHERE THE DOG IS HEADING - IT'S A NICE STRAIGHT, FAIRLY QUIET ROAD, SO HE WOULD PROBABLY FEEL SAFER ROUND THERE.
GOING TO JOIN THE SEARCHMISSINGPETS.CO.UK WEBSITE AS WELL, TO INCREASE OUR CHANCES OF GETTING HIM NOTICED. THANKS FOR EVERYONE'S HELP XX - 2011-12-25 17:45 JennyB
- SUE: THANKS FOR YOUR MESSAGE. HUDSON'S ORIGINAL OWNERS HOME WAS IN NEWARK, WHICH IS APPROXIMATELY 7 MILES FROM US HERE IN COLLINGHAM. THIS IS APPROXIMATELY HALF A MILE FROM WHERE HE WAS SEEN ON THE A1 ON SATURDAY 24 DECEMBER 2011 AT 1 AM. THE SECOND OWNER IS AT ELSTON, WHICH IS 7 MILES SOUTH OF NEWARK (DISTANCE FROM HIS ORIGINAL OWNERS HOME). POSTCODE FOR NEWARK WILL BE NG24. POSTCODE FOR ELSTON WILL BE NG23. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.
ROONEYSDAD: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP AND GOOD WISHES XX
KIMMYBEAR: THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT XX
LIZZIE: HIS ORIGINAL OWNER WAS IN NEWARK, NOT DERBYSHIRE. WHEN HIS ORIGINAL OWNER MOVED, THE DOG WAS ALREADY REHOMED IN ELSTON. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. - 2011-12-25 14:43 Jayne - Founder Doglost.

- This will be part of his triangle, so a good place to splash loads of posters! Tomorrow will be quiet, so a good time to search. Keep safe precious. x

- JennyB, how many miles approximately is he away from his old home?
What is the first part of the postcode of his old home? So that we can send out posters to helpers around there. - 2011-12-24 17:25 Unknown
- We think he has crossed the Motorway into Newark area. The motorway is several miles away from new owners home. He maybe heading home to Derbyshire (old address) Liz xxLast edited: 2011-12-24 17:26:43

- UPDATE ON 24 DECEMBER 2011 AT 5.00 PM
HUDSON WAS SPOTTED EARLY THIS MORNING AT 1 AM ON THE A1/A46 JUNCTION AT THE NEWARK SHOWGROUND BY A LORRY DRIVER. THE POLICE CALLED US AND WE WENT OUT THERE AND SEARCHED FOR ANOTHER 3 HOURS, BUT STILL NOT FOUND HIM YET. ANOTHER MESSAGE HAS BEEN SENT TO LINCS FM ASKING THEM TO MAKE PEOPLE AWARE THERE IS A DOG RUNNING LOOSE ROUND THERE.
WE HAVE CONTACTED NETWORK RAIL, THE POLICE AND WE ARE IN REGULAR CONTACT WITH THE HALFWAY HOUSE AT COLLINGHAM. ALSO STOPPING PEOPLE ON THE STREET AND ASKING THEM TO KEEP THEIR EYES OPEN FOR HIM. BEEN TO HIS OLD OWNERS HOUSE AND THE NEIGHBOURS HAVE PROMISED TO KEEP A LOOK OUT FOR HIM.
PUT POSTERS UP IN THE AREA, HAVE CHECKED WITH LOCAL BUSINESSES, THE DOG WARDEN IN NEWARK AND LINCS, THE COUNCIL AND ALSO THE BOARDING KENNEL OFF THE A46, AND ALL HAVE PROMISED TO LOOK FOR HIM AND TRY TO CATCH HIM IF THEY SEE HIM, AND LET US KNOW ASAP. CHECKED WITH LOCAL VETS AND ASKED THEM TO CONTACT US IF A DOG MATCHING THIS DESCRIPTION IS BROUGHT IN. - 2011-12-23 23:05 Unknown

- Spoke to owner. He also answers to the name 'SPUD' he is lost in a very rural area, which is fields and also a wooded area. There is a village close by. DW has been informed. Owner is out looking but the weather is awful. He does like other dogs, so have suggested trying to see whether he will come and approach some also suggested BBQ but not the weather at present - as he loves food.
