THE RAINBOW BRIDGE POEM

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Oh No!! im sooooooooooooooo sorry that Russell never made it home, breaks my heart everytime a furbaby goes to Rainbow Bridge :(

So sorry for the loss of Russel who is now at play with Megan at the bridge in the lovely warm sunshine. Nighjt, night, sleep tight. One day you will see Russel again. Thanks ASV for letting us know the sad news. We have had so may Rainbow Bridge's in the NW over the past few weeks.

Deepest thoughts are with Russell's family at this very sad time. Run free at the Bridge and sweet dreams Russell. xxx

Sadly Russell has been found on Tuesday 24th drowned in a pond about half a mile from where he went missing.

Do you know if they have tried both holding kennels i suggested. Members of the public are known to take found dogs there aswell as DW. They would normally go there for a few days then on to City Dogs in Stoke. Hope his chip details are uptodate. :)x

Russell went missing with his mother who returned after about 20 mins but Russell never.

I have had a reply back to my mail from Animal Support Volunteers. They said that the owners have contacted all the right people, Dog Warden, police,vets ect and ASV have been putting posters up locally for them and also searching for Russell due to them living near to the stables he went missing from than the owners, they have also searched fields, rabbit holes, fox/badger homes etc with no luck.
The owners are not very computer literate so are struggling with sending a photo of Russell, hoping that we can get one very soon.
Seems like plenty of people are looking for Russell which is FANTASTIC, thank yout to them.
Hope Russell is found very soon xx
