So glad Snipe has been found. I spoke to my son-in-law who is a policeman locally and there was no news on Snipe earlier in the week. Delighted he is reunited.

Snipe has been found by the owner himself and his sister. They got him about a mile and a half away from where he went missing. Snipe belongs to my cousin this is
How I know. He has a cut on his leg from being hit by the car but has been given antibiotics and painkillers from vet and seems none to worse off after his ordeal! Well done Jamie and
Vicki so glad you's got him back :) xx

The vet has the finder details but due to data protection will not release them.Have said the same thing to the owner Jayne- snipe will be getting looked after just now. I feel this is a breakdown in communications somehow and hope he will be re-united very soon.

Did the vets not take down the finders details? Scottish vets have always been so good at this...is this person a client...do they have an email adress...if it is Snipe at least owner knows he is being looked after...but can understand their frustration...

Someone has told the local vet that a dog similar to Snipe has been found in her shed, and the vet has told her to call police or Dog warden, but the dog has not turned up at either place yet. Owner is really worried and wants his dog back home safely obviously. We are hoping the vet will call the person who has him to ask where he is now. Is he with her, police or DW ??

I did give Snipe's owner the information about asking West Sound Radio in Ayr to help when snipe first went missing, but he could ask again seeing as there have been sightings.

Hi.
What about making a request to our local radio station West Sound Radio in Ayr? Worth a try.

Latest information on Snipe is that he was seen on Xmas day near the house he went missing from. He was hit by a car which did not stop. Snipe got up and ran off but was then seen again on Monday night half a mile away. He was limping, but no other sightings since then.
