Thanks to everyone who helped. Thistle is very happy to be home and so are we!!!! Apart from been a bit dirty she is in good health.

great news. It would be interesting to know as well how the dog was sold? gumtree/preloved or just in pub?

I just wonder what method the thieves use to pass these dogs on.

I wish there could be a national newspaper article on this, with a big mention about Doglost, the vet who scanned Thistle, and the importance of microchipping! What a great result. i'd love to know who'd taken her to the vet, the new owner or surely not the thiefs?

Great news...welcome home Thistle...wish more vets would scan dogs when they come in, it would not bother me if my vet asked to scan either of my dogs anytime they want...now you can start being a family together again xxx

Thistles owner has just had a phonecall to say Thistles microchip has just been scanned from a vets in Slough!!!

Hi, really sorry to hear about Thistle. I think this gang have been responsible for a few stolen dogs in the area. I live in RG10 area & printed off lots of posters of Thistle and handed them to other dog walkers & shops etc this morning. Just trying to help in any small way. x

Most likely to be identified as a springer by many so please keep an eye out for "springers" for sale/new in the area/found as well as cocker spaniels.
