There is now a new lead to follow, so am bumping page to top. A workmate of owner's father met a lady walking her pup in Grassmoor Country Park. She said she had found this pup in her road. When the man went into work he saw the poster and thinks the pup he met was Milly. He could not see all markings or what sex it was because it was wearing a coat. He does have border terriers himself so knows a BTx when he sees one. Posters have been put up in and around the park.

Owner heard yesterday that a BTx pup was taken in by some people who informed the DW. We don't know yet which DW this was, and it's hard to find out over the weekend. If you are the finder, or indeed the DW, or have any info please contact owner. We don't definitely know that the pup concerned is Millie but from what we know is the right age. We have to continue following up all possible leads at present.

This sighting was at dusk in a small wood which has been thoroughly searched. Owner has not been able to talk personally to witness yet. However, further info has been received which may indicate that Millie was picked up and sold on, probably to a completely innocent person. Please will all helpers in Manchester area especially keep eyes peeled for Millie?

Sue i have just been talking to Hodgepig666 about Millie and a North east missing dog and i asked her if she knew where the sighting was. She said it was in a wooded area but is not sure exactly where it was so we need to find out from the owners.

A member of the public rang having seen a poster so has now been sighted...the owners are now concentrating in that area so hopefully there may be more news soon.

Still no sign? I live up the next street and have been looking everywhere, but regarding emma's comment, a gossipy woman once told me there was someone living "round the corner" who steals dogs and sells them. This was some years ago...but how much truth, and whether they are still there I don't know. Maybe not just a prank call?

I'm not sure whether the dog owner looks at this page but they received an anonymous phonecall saying that a 'local dog breeder' had got Millie. The owner is treating this as just a prank call but do you think there could be some truth behind it?

Owner has sent me a photo by phone, I just need to ask one of my colleagues to put it up for me. DWs have been informed, also everyone in the village of Hungate is looking out for Millie.

• Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
