So, so happy to tell you that we've just found Ernie. He was in the grounds of Leslie Primary School, about 3 miles from home, hiding away in the corner under bushes a bit wary to come out.but came to us after a bit of coaxing, He's now got over his reluctance, is running about, whining, wagging his tail, looking so happy to see us all. He was so excited to get back home, never seen him looking happier, running about giving Derrick, myself and the other two dogs kisses. We're all over the moon. Thanks to each and every one of you who have posted and been worried about our little man who's now home safe and well xx

Everyone is so kind, thank you all so much. I've been in touch with police in Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy and now Perth and Kinross, second chance kennels, union farm and white hill kennels.

bumped for the earlier sighting x

Ernie was spotted in Leslie at 5.30 this morning, he was followed through Leslie (heading away from Glenrothes) but they'd lost him by the time we got there, he had reached the area in the region of the doctors surgery before they lost sight of him. He's apparently very dirty now so more of a brown dog with white bits than the other way round. Will keep you posted. Back out searching and putting up posters. X

Hi Connel, Second Chance kennels does not take in strays. They have to go to the dog pounds. If by any chance someone had tried to hand him in there the authorities would have to be alerted and he would be taken to Union farm/Haven or Whitehills.I have given the numbers of those kennels to Ernie's owner.I have sent a poster with all Ernie's details to local rescue kennels.

Hi Sharon, I'm Debbie from Alpha Dog Training near Dunfermline. If you have a minute, can you please let us know who you've already contacted? I've got some free time tomorrow (Monday) afternoon so if he's not safely back home by then I'll be able to put posters out to any other vets/rescue centres/trainers/groomers etc etc. Fingers crossed he's back at his own fireside soon x

I walk my dogs around Gilvenbank Park 3 times a day, so I will be looking out for Ernie on the off chance he's travelled to the top end of Glenrothes....you never know. I've also shared on my Facebook page. I'm sure he will be back with you very soon xLast edited: 2012-01-01 23:10:36 by CarolynB
Connel
Come on Eernie time to go home - you are one of NESSRs special little boys. Sharon have you tried Ena at Second Chance in Thornton just in case he has been handed in there. Have asked my pal Lynne in Glenrothes to keep her eyes peeled when she is out with her dogs. Know the Bus Station was closed today but if you go and see Lynne (she works at the Bus Station in the office) I'm sure she would put one up and ask the drivers to keep a look out for Ernie. Praying that you find him tomorrow. To far away in Oban to help you look but you are all in my thoughts.
Erniesmum1
Thank you so much for taking an interest in or having been out looking for Ernie, very much appreciated, it's very kind of you. Still no joy although Derrick is having a drive round some of the industial estates etc nearby to have another look. We've both been up all night and day looking so unfortunately are going to have to call it a night soon which is upsetting but have to get some sleep so that we can start again as soon as its light tomorrow. We're going to start off with Finglassie and Coaltown of Balgonie tomorrow morning. Been putting up posters round the area, will do some more tomorrow too. Still keeping my fingers crossed but this really is awful.

Ernie's is missing from this area: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Pitteuchar+Drive%2C+Glenrothes&hl=en&sll=53.800651%2C-4.064941&sspn=15.738773%2C39.506836&vpsrc=0&hnear=Pitteuchar+Dr%2C+United+Kingdom&t=m&z=15 , I took a walk round Overstenton Playing field this afternoon, will check the woods tomorrow if he hasn't come home.
Ambis mum
Apparently the scanner at Haven Rescue isn't working, so please keep contacting them to see if he's ended up there. I can come over to help search, Im only 25 miles away so shout if you need help.
bcKing
If we know where about in Pitteuchar he has gone from it would be easier to start searching, as lots of woods and playing fields.
