wow thats fantastic news, I have just got in from work and thats just what I wanted to see, now I can have a lie-in tomorrow phew lol

Fantastic news...The fella was out looking this morning on his way to work, and he is right by the rye as well.

Mannie was lucky not to cross the roads round there.

So glad he is now home and safe after his little adventure.

Apparently he was over Peckham Rye park, a man with a dog chased after him and caught him, then a passer by who was also looking for him for the owner, took him back to her,the owner was in the park when this all happened searching for him, bit skechy, sorry! but my friend saw the actual man catching him, thank God he's safe now :) I'm the local groomer who sent out the round robin to my clients :)

Unofficial and not been confirmed as yet but I have seen on the forum that he has been found. :-)

I have spoken to owner today and her friend. I have told them to poster ALL roads in the area (they have done some) and that as Mannie is SO nervous of people that they will need to keep going up there to try and catch him, I think he will just run away from everyone else. I advised them to put a top or socks somewhere for him to find (scenting). I have let them know of everyone who is also looking and passing on info, they are so grateful, owner hasnt slept properly with the worry, I have been out myself this morning but seen nothing, spoke to a few people, I am not working tomorrow so I will be out most of the day looking especially early morning and evening. Not sure what else I can do really. I wont be back online now until approx 11.30pm tonight, anyone with info can phone owner or my number is 07772528778 I can always phone back in my break. many thanks ju x

My O.H drives along Scutari road every day to and from work, he works other side of rye very start of high street, he will drive slowly along there in morning on his way to work, which will be about 7 am.

Sounds like he may have found a little den round this way, so we need posters up every where to get him famous round there... He may be hiding out in the little park round that road .

Can owner do some scenting, ... Something of hers to put down, for him to smell.

I have not long got in from work, I have no news to report, I did try phoning the owners in my break at about 7.30pm but had no answer, I am sure they must have been out looking. I will phone again in the morning and let them know the other sightings. Thank you so much mariauk and ellejay for your help. I am going to find this area and go there tomorrow morning before work, although he sounds like he will be hard to catch as he is so scared :-(

Comment from the lady who saw him this morning at 8.30am


I spotted him at 8:30 am (approx) today in Peckham Rye Park. He was heading into the Japanese gardens(Side entrance) and when he couldn't get in and spotted me(And dog),He ran off round to the top of the Japanese Gardens(opposite end to car park entrance).
Initially he came through from the path by the field opposite the Harris Boys school.

It seems he is using the top end of the park and the roads at the back (Colyton Road and Scutari Road which are next to the top end of the park as well as Marmaora)
jux, Are you in contact with the owner to let her know. It maybe an idea for her to pop down there tomorrow even if there are no further sightings?
Local dog groomer is also sending out Mannie`s details to all her local clients.

He was also seen in Peckham Rye park at 8.30 this morning. I have put Mannie`s info on Dulwich fb page as well. Fingers crossed someone manages to catch him and take him in tonight.

Info from sighting this morning
when i saw this dog it was about 10.00am he was on marmora road and he went running down scatari Road
he was scared !!! went out about 20 minutes later to look for him becuase had to bring my dog in home
I have looked down the park and up and down the road around were i saw him scatari road leads down to Therapia road
he must be somewhere around there he is very small might be in someone garden hiding please keep look out for him. Is there anyone in this area who could maybe go out and look for him?

My O.H works not far from that road, i have told him to keep an eye out, and his drivers at work drive all round there, so he has informed them... Get postering like mad.... hope he is found soon xx

I put Mannie`s details on my local forum yesterday and Mamora Road sighting has been mentioned on there as well. Not sure if it`s the same person but good luck.

SIGHTING!!! Just had a call back, he has been seen in Marmora Road, near the Cemetery, heading towards the park. Sorry if the details are vauge but I dont know the area and this is all the info I have right now. Owner is getting a bus there right now!!! Fingers crossed and will update later tonight x

I have just spoken to Mannie's owner, she is very upset, I have added Mannie to some of the Peckham pages on fb and will do more when I get home from work later. I am going to get some little flyers done and give them out on Sat in the main shopping area.
