Hopefully Dawn has managed to do the scenting as I explained to her yesterday and then we can set up a food station at the back of the pub. I am a bit concerned if to many people try to catch him that it wil cause him to be more stressed as he is not used to different people. I do not think he will respond to people calling him. I did explain to Dawn yesterday what to do if she sees him, to sit on the floor and make whimpering noises.

Two confirmed sightings this evening, we had a team of searchers there within 15 minutes. It was dark but we could hear barking and saw eyes by torchlight from by the trees near the river. We spent nearly three hours calling/searching with no luck. Assumed he has somewhere dry to bunker down in. Hopefully the daylight search at 1pm tomorrow will bring some happy news.

Thank you for letting us now of the sighting. I think he is staying around that area because that is where the owner walks him.

I saw this dog this morning around 8.50am. I was driving past the Coop in Newbold. I stopped to try and get to him however he was moving fairly fast and ran up the road next to the pub at the Canal.
I too say another driver call the dog but he kept on moving away very fast.

I have spoken to owner and he was seen sitting in the middle of the road, the lady got out of her car to shoo him away and he started jumping up and down and barking at her. He appears to be staying around the canal and shop as he knows this area. Have advised owner to scent to home from there.

Maybe we could try scenting around the pub or set up a feeding station there. I have a feeling he will keep coming back to the pub, so we really need to keep him in that area. I will get scenting sheet sent out to you by email, use the pub to place some of his food, as he will be hungry now.

Two sightings today, one at 2pm and the other at 4pm = both at The Barley Mow pub in Newbold. RP joined owner on a search tonight for an hour and a half. Dawn has been out all day calling and looking for him. We had no joy tonight, but have members looking tomorrow/tomorrow evening. Organised search being arranged for 1pm on Saturday and 1pm on Sunday - meeting at Barley Mow pub car park if anyone can help please. Wear wellies, the canal at the back of the pub is extremely muddy. More info on RP page wall https://www.facebook.com/groups/168208779917045/Last edited: 2012-01-05 22:54:42 by JD

Spoke to owner, he went from garden last night between 8.45 and 9.00pm, his sister also went but has now returned. Police were not interested. Local vets have been informed. Have advised owner to poster asap and to contact local radio station. He is not a dog that is let of lead, so will be confused and scared. Railway is close by as is motorway.
