- What you're doing is much appreciated Jody - I recognised your name from 'Lola'. Thank you - for everyone else - and for her.... xx

- Hi Jody
Thanks for updating about the sad news on the RTA's, not a pleasant thing to have to. But much needed .So thanks from the passed away dogs and also from their owners ! xLast edited: 2012-01-16 02:10:15 by Tara H - 2012-01-15 22:10 jody - Area Volunteer, South Yorkshire
- Hi Sherlock, many thanks for your postings on the listings I have made. Really sorry for not thinking about it more carefully. Jobadger I was part of the search for LOLA...Not just Doncaster but Wakefield, Rotherham - Sheffield. Still working on other councils etc. I did email Doglost a couple of weeks ago and their reply was lovely but I have still lots to do.

- Hi Jobadger, it's a regional contact, for the Doncaster area only. We'd love it if more people could do such a thing in other areas. Yes, the details will stay here, and continue in the future, just as they would for any other found dog and will be reunited in the same way when and if owners come forward. x

- Thank you for the update Sherlock. Is this a national contact or is it being done regionally? It is an operation which has been needed for a while, and it will bring closure for families searching although it will not be the news they want. Will the details continue to be in 'found' dogs? To whoever is doing it - thank you. Last edited: 2012-01-15 12:48:06 by jobadger

- Good idea, hope that some closure will be brought to families, even though it will not be the news they were hoping for

- Thankyou Sherlock, have called & left a message. It is indeed a very sad, but very good idea.

- Rubster, please dial the contact number listed for more information. Eddie nothing going on, we now have a wonderful contact who is listing RTA dogs, in the hope that owners get closure. Before this, noone would know that they had been found. It's a lovely gesture but it will be sad reading I'm afraid. There is nothing sinister at all in these dogs being listed in the same area. It's a sad reflection on the amount of dogs being lost to our roads. x

- I think something is going on here.. Just look how many are dead. All from the same area. Very strange, unless they've been pts??? But the two Labs? Surely they could have been homed and the overweuight greyhound bitch, she surely must have belonged to someone??
