Well done all! I was so worried about this lovely old lady. Some Dog Wardens do arrange for very old dogs or young pups to go into foster rather than the pound where possible.

Big thanks to everyone who phoned and postered for Fern!!

Oh blast you beat me to it!

I've just spoken to Louise, the lady who placed this ad.
After I rang and left the mess for the D.W. he then rang the owner to say that they had found her the evening he'd lost her, she'd almost made her way home and was in the hospital car park. Don't know why, but she went to a foster home. Now the owner will get her back, hopefully tonight. I've asked Louise / skyrocket to post us when she's reunited then she can go into the blue. YAY YAY YAY

Brilliant news, so pleased she is safe and will be going home soon x

Wonderful that she's safe!! Why is she in foster care? Does her owner know? When is she going home?

I've rung Worcester council and given all details. They are going to contact the D.W.s straight away, but as yet have had no reports of her description being found.Last edited: 2012-01-16 14:52:27 by Neighbark

Well done Caroline...
Have the dog wardens been contacted?
I've left a message on the 01527 tel no given.
Is there a railway line nearby?
Have also asked young couple who live nearby if they can come and search (Reunited Bailey's owners).
Not sure I can now come and search today as horses taking so long with freezing conditions, and work tomorrow. :-( Last edited: 2012-01-16 13:58:43 by Neighbark

I put some posters up Country Park/Hospital, talked to dog walkers, told the Country Park office and some people working in the woods - no one appeared to know about the dog or had seen it but were going to tell everyone they knew in case she has been taken in, walked all round the outside, dogs didn't pick up any noises - Wenna probably would have done. If you are planning a co-ordinated seach let me know, and I'll come down if I can.

SKYROCKET - my tel no. is 07974 443931

Can u let me let me know which shelters you contact, silly both of us contacting the same one's.
Does the 01527 number posted belong to the owner or to you Skyrocket? I know it covers the Redditch/Bromsgrove area.

IF SHE IS NOT TOO GOOD ON HER FEET SHE COULD BE STUCK IN THE WOODS SHE WENT MISSING FROM, PERHAPS IN A DITCH OR CAUGHT UP IN BRAMBLES. HOPE SOMEONE HAS FOUND HER THOUGH AS ITS TOO COLD FOR AN OLDIE.

The mostup-to-date vet list is on RCVS site find a vet bit http://findavet.rcvs.org.uk/find-a-vet/
It has contact details - will search on location or postcode if someone has time to do it - probably better coming from someone other than me who has recently contacted them about Rags. Don't know if there are riding schools/runners groupsetc round there - people see far more from horses..

Thanx Neighbark. I think Skyrocket is going to contact local shelters tomorrow. She would really appreciate any help & advice that you could give her. :-) xxx

Presumably the High School? Nearest the Countryside Centre? I'll go and have a walk round there tomorrow, though it is a week now - lets hope someone has picked her up, is looking afterher and gets her home soon
skyrocket
Hello everyone, your outpouring of help is amazing, i said I would do what I can to find her so lets begin. she was lost in the woods by Nunnery School, He has been back every day since, to see if he can find her but that is on his own, he only told me today, he called the wardon and danamere, apart from that i dont know.
There is no photo of which he is kicking himself about even though he has had her from a pup (I think the digital age has passed him by) I will print off posters tomorrow, and head up toward the school and post - as i dont know the area that well (from wychbold myself) i could be in the wrong place. ANY HELP is apprciated - all his other dogs are chipped just not her. Thanks everyone
Sioux
Sorry no photo. Any chance of adding a simular dog pic please Liz? :-) xxx

Hi Liz. This was the message from Louise Jones
I am trying to find a working cocker, for an older gentleman, she is brown with light feet and 13years old, she went missing in the worcester (Nunnery Wood) area sadly she has poor sight and is a little deaf, if found by anyone they would have had to pick her up to put in the car as she isnt so good on her feet, she has been missing since 7th jan 2012- any help would be most appreciated. left on Doglost West Mids. https://www.facebook.com/groups/162312900483689/
Help with searching is much needed Wensmum, Thank You.
Unknown
Don't think a search has been suggested yet!! but as gentlemen is elderly I am not sure how much he has done himself re: postering ect, I am hoping someone has picked her up and is looking after her until they see a poster or it is in the paper. Thank you for your offer of help wensmum. Maybe we could wait for a couple of days and then see.
wensmum
Are you searching - do you need help, I could come down and bring sheepdogs if you need help?
Unknown
Is the Info and Advice sheet to go to Sioux?
B30
Is there a photo Sioux? If not I may be able to find a similar one so that we can send posters out.

Thanks Sioux. Hopefully alerts will go out soon.
