This is very, very sad. What a lovely, precious girl she is. Owners, sometimes God has to take our beloved dogs earlier than we would like but that is only because they have already earnt their wings. Tara had obviously earnt hers. God bless you and sweet Tara. In my prayers. x

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE POEM

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

It is with deepest regret to be moving Tara over to Rainbow Bridge, sadly she was involved in an RTA on the day she went missing, family only found out last night and have been to the vet and said their goodbye's today.

Not the news we like to receive, deepest thoughts are with Tara and her family at this very sad time. :( x

Family would like to pass on their thanks.

Still no news. The owner is visiting Manchester Dogs Home tomorrow and will send a photo tonight. Keeping my fingers crossed for MDH tomorrow.

Have recommended contacting Bury and Oldham Dog Wardens and vets as well as Rochdale. The area Tara was lost is not far from either boundary and a walking area.

I have seen this entry on the AW site:

Found Dog
11 Jan 2012 Border Collie
Location: Heywood OL10
Name: Bell
Gender: Female
Colour: Black
Markings: white
Size: Medium
Our Ref: 257030

I was wondering if Tara was previously owned by someone else, maybe the founds name is from an old microchip?? You never know. Have sent the details to the owner to check out unless they have had her since a pup.

Sent email with information and advice and also requested photo to be sent as soon as possible.
