Zann48 - Sounds like this girl is really lucky to be in such a caring home at the moment. There are so many great people on Doglost.

Incidentally would like to add that with reference to my moderated comments, I actually reported myself as needed some info being brought to Admin's attention. Jayne will hopefully confirm it isn't because I was doing anything bad !!!

Thanks everyone - yes travellers sites near here, and I think Barney'n'Ozzies mum is probably right about her having been of no more use. Not a working dog - she had no idea at all about play, retrieve etc. She does now though! She has really settled in well with our 2 dogs and the horses and is very happy. Unless someone comes forward who lost her, or had her stolen some time ago, I can say that she will not be going anywhere!
Would be lovely if she could work, but it would be a little difficult with her lack of hearing, but she is coming on well with hand signals.
She is not docked, or at least only partially.

Poor girl, it sounds like she may have been a working dog if she has a docked tail. Hopefully she will be reunited soon.

Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
Please check on our Missing pages in case the Found dog has been registered as missing with us.
If possible please add a photo as this greatly assists our work in matching Found dogs with Missing dogs.
