This lovely girl was identified (from posters) and recovered in Basingstoke town centre at 1600 today following an unrelated incident, by dog handler PC BEALE. Officer had been trying to track dog down following a tip off to Laura the local dog warden. Dog stolen from garden. Now dog back home and enjoying plenty of cuddles, after being micro-chipped. Thanks to all that assisted, a good result and those responsible will be spoken to in due course.
Thanks Stacy (PC Beale)

Text sent for an update. A friend of the owner saw a middle aged woman with a dog that looked very much like this one and in the same area she went missing from. Owner has put flyers through the doors of houses in that area and is going back there to search.Last edited: 2012-01-24 16:42:30 by AlisonH

Had a chat with the owner this afternoon. She and her family were out for a bit and when they got back the back gate was open, unlikely that the dog managed to undo the bolt but you never know, posters being printed and will go up tomorrow, given all the normal advice, DW notified - GOOD LUCK and hope she's home safe soon.
