Well done Anna! As I said in my text, you did really, really brilliant! You listened to what was advised and you acted on it and because of your work, you got your Alfie back home. I think you were also rather brave - well done! It appears that Alfie was taken by travellers, but owner did everything right and got her baby back. Yes, you MUST get Alfie chipped. Fantastic news! Welcome home sweet Alfie boy! xxx

So glad you have him back. Hold on tight to him now - and do get him microchipped. Those lads have got the taste for easy money now, so keep him safe. What age group were the lads? could you post this information onto Bonnies lost dog site (near the top today), her owner has been searching for her for many months, and these lads might just have some idea where she is.......

Fantastic he is back safely. Sorry that you had to pay money to get him back but he is definitely worth it!!

We have great news, we have alfie back!! way had to pay a couple of young lads who said they "found" him. But the posters really worked, we made him too hot to handle. Thank you so much for all your help. xx

Ann, ask the Dog Warden - they should know and help you.x

Thank you so much for help. we are about the meet with the police to hopefully get a crime reference number, and have notified the dog warden. We have also started putting posters up in the area but need to do more today. We are pretty sure it was travelers so we need to target those sites, but not sure where they all are round here, we are on the lower burnham road just out old south woodham ferrers so if anyone knows the main sights round here that would be a great help. thank you.

Owners if this means your dog was stolen, you must report it to the police now and get a crime number, not an incident number, but a CRN number. Also may I suggest you speak to the dog warden about checking who may have taken your dog and read my e-mail advice as there are possibilities on there and you need to act quickly and poster heavily and make Alfie very famous, radio, newspapers, make it your mission to get him home. Please read Molly's page (spaniel) in the reunited tab, Chelmsford area also.
