Phew! Thank goodness for that. Well done owners. You got your baby home. You made her too hot to handle, thats what we like here on DogLost! Way to go! Absolutely, there are a lot of invidiuals around who for various reasons want to keep your dog and if everyone knows your dog is missing it becomes harder to keep the secret. I am soooo pleased! Welcome home Lulu. I will move her to the blue.x

Fantastic news, so glad you have her back home

So lovely to hear that Lulu is home, it surprises me how many people think 'finders keepers' when it is in fact 'theft by finding' in the eyes of the law!

Hi I have got Lulu back!! We went leaflet distributing last Wednesday night and I had a phone call last Thursday morning. The lady said she had found Lulu and taken her home with her. She was reluctant to give me her address and said she'd phoned the police, which I do not believe coz I rang them. A lot of her story did not tie up with what we had been told. I honestly believe she was going to keep her and felt guilty when her friend rang her as we had put a leaflet through her door. I have now bought her a collar, which she seems to be getting used to, bless. I am so gald to have her back. It took her a couple of days to settle down and she wouldn't eat Saturday and was a bit snappy. God knows what she has been through, poor thing. Thank you to everyone, it shows there are a lot of good people out there. But be careful unfortunately, not everyone is. At least this story has a happy ending. I really wish everyone with lost dogs out there the very best of luck and I hope you are successful too. My only suggestion would be tell as many people as possible. And if possible leaflet around where he/she went missing. The more people that know it makes it harder and embarrassing for anyone who did want to keep your dog. Thank you again to everyone!! (I have updated the ad twice to say she is found but not sure it is working)

Owner, I think you need to tell police if not already done so, as these two girls have not brought her back - you need to assume she has been stolen for the police to give you a CRIME number - not an incident number. The police need to do this in order to help you trace these two girls. They have more power to find them and as far as I can see, they have taken a dog and not returned it when there are posters around. You must pressure the police to help you. Please let us all know how you're doing so we can help. x

I posted this on Facebook on the 23rd, lots of friends all with children and different schools very close to this area, I will keep spreading the word and put info on about the possible connection with two girls on bike. Have you tried Acres Way Kennels, Great Burchess Road Thundersley and also try Gill at Crofters, Beke Hall Chase, only at the end of London Road so you never know. Hope you find her soon.

Is Lulu still missing? How about talking to the schools? I guess Glebe and Sweyne. x

alicluski - Put posters up prominent places - Rayleigh High Street, Rayleigh Railway and Bus Station, in Supermarkets and the local dog walking spots, hopefully someone will see them whose 'neighbour' has acquired a Shih Tzu, also ring the dog wardens and vets daily, I hope she is home soon. x

Have e-mailed owner.

If it is these two girls that have Lulu how about aiming at that age - very often a facebook page set up helps especially to contact that age. I am ancient but if you need help in this direction I have three grown up children able to assist in this direction

Ring around all the local vets too and keep going with the posters and flyers - the more the better!!

And I have put posters outside local schools. Have rang everyone I can think of from police to dog warden and local council. Any other ideas please? Thank you.

Thank you all for your help and kind words. The gate blew open and she wandered out. Two girls on bicycles were seen by someone down our road walking off with her. I have a poster in our window, posters on the lampposts down our road, and in the newsagents at the top of the road. I am having flyers printed and will deliver these door to door. She is my little baby and I miss her like mad. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am working in that vicinity tomorrow and will ask clients in Danbury Road to look out and spread the word to their neighbours. Hope she is home soon Jenny
