So happy to see that Simba's back home with his doting owner. What wicked people to have taken him in the first place, then set him free by the sounds of it. He's endured a lot in the past week, and at an age where he should have been curled-up in front of his fire. As for the reward money - it does make my blood boil. Wonder what the girl would have said/done if they hadn't had the money on them....

I am sure after a few days back home in his own bed and lots of TLC he will feel a heck of a lot better. Probably a bit of shock too, poor baby. I can't believe someone has knowingly put him through this, so heartless. As for the reward, I wouldn't dream of taking anything off someone for returning their beloved pet, would just consider it my good deed for the day - sadly not everyone thinks the same :(

I contacted Simba's owner. She said he is very shaky and thin, also he's not to good on his back legs, she is taking him to the vets for a check over. Hope he is ok x
A girl contacted Simba's owner to say that she had spotted Simba in Burnely, wandering but couldn't catch him. The owner and a family member went to Burnely to have a look around and to put posters up, while they were there the girl contacted the owner again to say she had managed to catch Simba, when the owner said she was in Burnley the girl went a bit quite, they mentioned a place where the girl could bring Simba but the girl said she didn't know it but when the owner mentioned she had the reward money with her, she then said she was just around the corner. The owner gave the girl £200 pounds!!
They all had a good nights sleep last night, Simba slept with his owner all night, just glad shes got her furbaby back home and i home is his feeling better in a few days. i will ask for a reunited pic when they are all a bit more settled and Simba is feeling a bit better.

They are having sightings of Simba on Hereford Rd and Worcester Rd. A woman had seen Simba and when shown a photo of him she confirmed it was definitley him!
Maggie
Yes of course she knew her dog was missing! Her daughter didn't tell her that someone had taken him!

So didn't the mother spot that her dog was missing - not until her daughter told her 2 days later?????? I'm gobsmacked! Poor old man, being messed about at this time of life.Last edited: 2012-01-26 23:18:57 by Neighbark

I've spoken to Simba's owner. The owners daughter had a couple of "friends" round the house while her mum was out, argument broke out and one of them took Simba, the daughter didn't tell her mum straight away that someone had taken Simba, she just said that he had gone missing. They have contacted the police who are not being very helpful, they know the persons name, address and phone number which they passed on to the police, they are going to contact PC who is dealing with this again when he comes back on duty (hopefully tonight).
Simba's been possibly spotted on Hereford Road! They have contacted DW, police, rescues, vets, have been putting up posters, they are doing everything they can to find him.Last edited: 2012-01-27 07:33:40 by Maggie
