- I have still heard nothing from them, but I would take him staight away if they asked me to, he is a really lovely dog x
- 2012-02-07 14:23 ellejay
- Thats a shame you not heard from them, they could at least text to say if they are keeping him, after all, you looked after him and fed him when he went missing from them, they should be grateful for that... hope he is well.

- Please if he gets in touch try to get Rupert off him....I will be willing to take him on as I already have a bullie or you can get in touch with bullie sos or absolute bull terrier as they will get him a new home but in the meantime they put him into foster care

- Just caught up with this. Sounds like Rupert needs rescuing asap. I wonder if they will try to sell him? They might have been on their best behaviour meeting you. I'm sure you have thought of all this. I get so worried for dogs kept outside and left to wonder. I hope the say yes to your text. xLast edited: 2012-02-05 10:45:33 by reggiemollieros

- I think I will text the dad tomorrow and just say that if they ever want to find rupert a new home I would be very willing to take him, and then if I am not in a position to keep him myself I would get in contact with one of the bully rescues so he gets a good home x

- i have spent couple days asking ppl to find this dog on numerous sites as have seen him advertised but cant remeber where as so many sites im on im pleased someone came forward BUT very upset if they no longer want him bless him

- Oh my, that does not sound to good... to be honest most caring dog owners would have a collar on their dog and get them chipped, sounds like it is onlythe dad who wants him then... they obviously not bothered about him, or to take him to a vets to get him looked at... still least they informed battersea and warden i suppose.
thing is, sounds like he may end up somewhere else if they dont really want him... if you took him in least you could contact an EBT rescue or something, he may end up on scumtree for bait or something :( - 2012-02-04 11:17 Jux - Area Volunteer, South London
- thanks ellejay for the offer of a collar for Rupert (thats his name). He is 18months old, he got out of the garden by opening the gate, I think they keep him outside though as I found him at 5.30am so he must of been out all night. the dad came with his 2 teenage sons, the boy whose dog it was didnt even get out of the car, dad said he had lost interest even though he had begged for the puppy. the dad told me that the mum had said 'see if they seem alright and then ask them if they want the dog' she doesnt like the dog!!! I told him YES I will take the dog if they dont want him, just bring him round any time, even if I didnt keep him I would be able to find him a good home.
They had only contacted battersea and the dog warden, there were no posters, I hope he is ok x - 2012-02-04 10:45 ellejay
- aww thats good news, they must of been looking for him then, but was there no posters up ?
Tell them to get him chipped and collar and id tag asap.. let us know how he came about being lost if you can.
I was going to say i got a brand new collar that would fit him you could of had, i ordered one and they sent the wrong size, this one fits a bully or staffy sized dog, its black leather with silver bones on it... think i will give it to a rescue centre.Last edited: 2012-02-04 10:46:07 by ellejay - 2012-02-04 08:31 Jux - Area Volunteer, South London

- I have bought him some complete dried food, is that ok for him???? I looked at collars and leads but didnt know what to get!! Its like having a baby again lol, I have forgotten everything and there is so much choice!!! He follows me everywhere and leans his head on my legs, I think he is a baby!

- aww thanks everyone, yes he is safe with me till I find his owners. He has NO collar and NO Microchip!!! The vet said that one of his knees is disclocating and popping back in and out and that at some point he will need an op as he is a heavy chunky boy, its not bothering him at the moment as he jumps all over the place! lol
Last night I noticed gunk coming out of his boy bits when he rolled over for a tummy rub and this morning he has gunk coming out of his eyes too, poor boy!
I think he must belong to a man cause when I walked him last night he pricked up his ears and wanted to go towards any man he saw!!! - 2012-02-04 04:08 Millys Mum
- I agree, he's just gorgeous (hi ellejay!). I just love Bullies. A special thanks to his finder for keeping him safe and looking for his owners. I hope they are found soon as I know the ever caring Battersea are great in helping to reunite found dogs with their owners. But in the meantime I can see that he's enjoying a bit of 'counter surfing'! Fingers crossed for this lovely boy.

- aww he gorgeous... some one must be missing him, did he have a collar on at all ?
Just wondering if no chip and no collar he may have been dumped ? Does he look in good condition ?
Least he is safe with you at the mo, are you keeping him till he may be found ? - 2012-02-03 20:16 Jux - Area Volunteer, South London
- I have just filled in the Battersea online form for found dogs
- 2012-02-03 18:20 Jux - Area Volunteer, South London
- I had him scanned at the vets and they couldnt find a chip. I will try Battersea tomorrow ..... I hope he has a family looking for him, he is very sweet and wants to play all the time so I think he must be quite young still, doesnt seem to know any commands or maybe he is just ignoring me lol
