Rang the kennels today, no-one has claimed him, I cannot understand how such a lovely dog has not been missed

I am a friend of noodle and have also shared the 'find' details with dog walking friends and on my fb and also on Southend-on-Sea fb page.
I have asked noodle if the dog could be Rocky and she said no, he is chipped and his details are out of date - since 2009!

Thanks noodle. What a shame I was SO hoping that it was Muppet. I checked bsck through my DL notes and read that the large scar was behind Muppet's left ear but thank you for replying to my post. I've never stopped looking for Muppet and check out EVERY male Rottie that appears on DL. It sounds as though the scar on the found Rottie's back might be the result of wet eczema, something that many Rottie's suffer from. I do hope that his owners come forward as he sounds as though he was in good shape, was socialable & had been well cared for.

Just looked at the pic, its not him, the scar is halfway down ths dogs back, looks lke a burn or even possbly a horse bite{where they scrape all the hair off} cant get pictures of him, he is now with the local kennels

noodle - when I read these Found details, I couldn't help but immediately think of Muppet (ref 16469) stolen from London SE16 in January 2009. I know that Muppet had a scar which was only visible when the fur was parted. I believe the scar was on the back of his neck. As far as I know Muppet is still missing. He was docked. Although Muppet was stolen from Bermondsey, London, his owners live (or lived) in the Swansea area. He was 2 years old when he went missing and so would now be around 5 years old. Have a look at Muppet's photo and let me know what you think. I have some additional contact numbers for Muppet's owners if you think that the Rottie you've found matches Muppet's description. Can you add a photo of the found lad? Fingers crossed!Last edited: 2012-02-03 21:18:27 by Millys Mum
