- Just had text back from charliepolly , sadly still no news on Polly & no new sightings.
- 2012-03-19 10:24 Aunt Stef - Area Volunteer, West London
- I think the post concerned was about a possible sighting which if put on public view might have altered any possible outcome. I have sent Polly's owner a text requesting an update.

- Oh, you've got me wondering now. I hope everything is okay, as sounds a bit worrying. Angelmort, we both posted after that one, but I don't recall anything. We'll have to wait and see I suppose. Maybe its something that cannot be made public yet. Its not my area, so I won't intervene. x
- 2012-03-05 17:22 Angel
- I am keen to know what charliepolly wrote on 2012-02-25 17:10 that's waiting for moderation. Maybe it was to say she's been found? The last of the posters in the area at Waitrose was taken down a week or so ago. No point us keep looking if they have closure.

- Wish we had some news. We're all praying you get home safe and sound sweet Polly. x

- Hi Charliepolly. Did you get an article in the local paper?
- 2012-02-21 23:43 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- Keep going - she is somewhere! x
- 2012-02-17 19:30 Angel
- Hi charliepolly. I also thought that someone could have pick her up. If that is the case at least you'll know she's being looked after and hopefully with lots of awareness they will realise someone else is missing her and will give her back. The poster has gone from Sunninghill post office. I would have replaced it but didn't have anymore with me. Haven't seen or heard anything this week but will be back at golf course tomorrow.
- 2012-02-17 08:54 charliepolly
- thanks for all the help everyone..am working on getting a piece in some of the local papers..can't help thinking that Polly has been taken by someone..i know the posters and any awareness will hopefully jolt somebody into realising they need to hand her in..x

- I walked the golf course yesterday twice - 2 hrs in am and 2 hrs in pm. Spoke to groundsmen, other dog walkers and placed posters all the way from Windlesham footpath to course. I walked along the back of houses from Westwood Road etc. No sightings. Must put this on Heart Radio and in papers. I will go again at the weekend - I feel the anxiety as though it was my dog. Just carry on the search
- 2012-02-16 00:08 Angel
- I hope so.

- No comments today? Any news out there? Are all out buildings, sheds and garages being checked all around there?
- 2012-02-14 22:25 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- Are there any garages near by? People open and close them and if she got in to keep warm, could be locked inside one. Please, do some door knocking and ask for everything to be opened. x
- 2012-02-14 15:59 Aunt Stef - Area Volunteer, West London
- Thank you JulieB & yes ,Polly is out there somewhere. Posters & flyers as well as newspapaers & perhaps local radio to keep people aware.
- 2012-02-14 13:43 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- Okay, well done to Michael and all of you; you are fab. Are there any other huts or sheds in that area? She could still be stuck inside somewhere. Hang on Polly, sweetheart. x
- 2012-02-14 11:18 Angel
- Well at least we know, i guess. I don't get to the golf course every day but will continue to look when i'm there. Def try to get as many posters inside the course as poss as it will be getting busier now. Now the weathers better it may entice Polly out of her hiding place so easier to find if she's still on the course. If i hear or see anything, will let you know asap.
- 2012-02-14 11:18 JulieB
- I will go looking again tomorrow and put up posters at the Windlesham end of golf course - also in pubs in Windlesham. Will also put up posters in Lightwater village - she may have travelled in the week she has been missing. Just keep on looking - she is out there somewhere
- 2012-02-14 09:13 charliepolly

- hi all, i have spoken to the club house and have asked if someone can go and open up. a gentleman named michael who works at golf club is walking past on his way home and is going to open and have a look in the next hour..have stressed that she may not be responding to her name so he needs to have a proper look..will post as soon as any news..
- 2012-02-13 16:50 Aunt Stef - Area Volunteer, West London
- Thank you Angelmort for all your help here. i have spoken to charliepolly & given them this info so that hopefully the hut can be opened & checked. If Polly has been trapped in there this is urgent so I hope someone from the Golf Club will be able to get along there to open up.
- 2012-02-13 14:07 Angel
- Hi Kimmybear. It doesn't look like i'll be able to get to the golf course today but 'someone' did report to me that they thought they heard noises coming from the hut on Saturday as they were sitting outside. Didn't think to ask where they were sitting so the whole place will need to be opened to check. I believe Polly was last seen near the half way hut the day before it shut up re the snow. I've just looked up the phone numbers Halfway Hut: +44(0)1344 876671, Clubhouse: +44(0)1344 621681. Don't know if the phone number for the Halfway hut is a direct line as if it's still shut today, there won't be anyone there. If you could ring that would be great. I don't think Pollys mum is on here daily and if there is a possibility she's in there, as you say, needs checking asap or maybe ring Pollys mum to do it? Thanks.
- 2012-02-13 13:25 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- Thanks Angelmort. Could "someone" make a call to get it opened? I'd hate to think she was in there an we didn't check. Do you have the number if there is no one who is in a position to do this? I will try. Obviously better coming from someone who can be there at the time in case. But worth a go. Thank you. x
- 2012-02-13 09:51 JulieB
- I went with my JRTs on Saturday - walked from Brickmakers Arms in Windlesham across golf course to Cross Road and no sightings. I did ask at least 3 other walkers to keep a watch. Will go back again on Wednesday with my 2 JRTs - would be good to lay some scents down with Polly's mate Charlie.
- 2012-02-13 01:11 Angel
- Hi charliepolly. Did u put posters through the doors of the cottages and office at the golf course? I know the groundsman said he'd let people know but I think it would b a good idea. I suggest amending your poster to say there have been two confirmed reports of Polly being at the golf course and ask them to please check all their out buildings and any nook and cranney a little dog may have gone for shelter/food. Good luck.
- 2012-02-12 23:52 Angel
- Hi Kimmybear. The hut is the on course cafe for golfers. Normally open 7 days a week, only closed when weather too bad for golf, like at the moment. It's sealed up like a drum so she couldn't have got in after it was shut up and you can't see in. I guess she could have sneaked in when they were shutting up, she is only little. There's two sides to it, one for golfers and the other for the rif raff plus a storage cupboard and toilets. I doubt very much if they would send someone to open up to have a look but if someone had reported hearing noises from inside;) they might. Will investigate when I go down tomorrow.
- 2012-02-12 22:14 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- Angelmort, that hut you speak of, can you check it out in case she's got in it, especially if there was a smell of food still around inside it? Could someone have opened it recently and shut it again? Are there any holes? She's got to be somewhere. Worth a try. Come on Polly girl, where are you??? x
- 2012-02-12 16:23 Angel
- It is cold (getting warmer) but it's surprising how resilient dogs can be. It's easier for little ones to find somewhere to hide away, be it down a hole, in amongst logs, in a shed etc. They always have a bonfire going at the golf course so if she got over that side she could get some warmth from that but we didn't see her there today. Did a bit of a different route again today which took in the half way house and new 10th tee. No sign of Polly today, sorry. Your new sign was still up at Ridgemount gate but will probably need to be checked daily. It's a shame the half way hut has been closed with no golf on. Dogs know that's where sausages come from so they do get drawn there! There's been no ground staff out the past three days either. As it's warming up a lot and snow melting I would expect staff to be out tomorrow which will help. I would suggest putting posters on the dog poo bins at the golf course stating there has been a positive siting of Polly at the course. I'm sure they will get taken down but if you can get a few hours out of them it's got to be better than nothing and just keep putting the posters back up. Contact the dog warden and rescue centers again tomorrow, they can be bad at putting 2 and 2 together. Stay positive. We will all do everything we can to help get Polly home. Take care. X
- 2012-02-11 22:51 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- How about actually knocking on the houses that are near the sighting and physically waiting whilst they go and check their gardens, including any out buidlings, bushes, ponds etc. Worth a try. Keep those posters going up, even if they disappear, just keep on doing it - just like you have. x
- 2012-02-11 21:14 charliepolly
- thanks everyone for all your help..i did put poster up at ridgemount entrance but must have been taken down but went back today and put another up on the railings of the gate..we took our other jack up there with us today but again no sign. have done leaflet drop on our road, westwood road and will be doing ridgemount and cross rd tomorrow..its so cold out there am so worried.
- 2012-02-11 14:21 Angel
- Was up at the golf course again today. Different route than yesterday. No sign, sorry. Will be back again tomorrow.
- 2012-02-10 23:46 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- Yes, I agree. Everyone needs to search their gardens, out houses, and any nooks and crannies where this baby could get and leaflet dropping is a great way to ask for help on this. You are doing well out there! Keep going..... xxx
- 2012-02-10 19:15 Owl
- I would support the suggestion of a house to house flyer drop to all houses backing on to golf course.
- 2012-02-10 14:55 Angel
- Not long got back from Sunningdale Golf course. No luck today, sorry. Walked some greens, woods, road to half way hut and checked all ditches we went past just in case she may have slipped in and couldn't get out. Will be back there tomorrow doing a different route, mainly woods. There's no poster up at the Ridgemount Road entrance to the golf course. Don't know if you put a poster there and it's been removed but a good place to poster. A lot of dog walkers park up and use that entrance. Will keep looking. If you haven’t already might be worth putting posters through the doors of all the other houses that back onto the Golf course. The terrier in Polly will make her a survivor!

- Angelmort - yes, she is ok with other dogs, may bark a little but is very friendly and will def come to stranger if being called..thank you if you do make it down there tom. i went this afternoon walked onto the part where we back onto for about an hour but no sign..i am going to try the scenting asap..i really believe that was her yesterday just the way he described her being small with rough coat, same colour..i am keeping positive.
- 2012-02-09 18:06 Angel
- Charliepolly - is Polly ok with other dogs? I'm hoping to go to the golf course tomorrow afternoon with my little dog (haven't been able to get out there earlier because I’ve had this cold bug). Will she come to a stranger when called or is there any special, preferably smelly treats she likes I could take with me?

- 2012-02-09 12:42 charliepolly
- the sighting was yesterday..
- 2012-02-09 12:33 charliepolly
- there has been a possible sighting of Polly near the 10th hole and half way hut on sunningdale golf course. i just went up there and showed one of the groundsmen who said he saw a small jack running around yesterday same colour looking like it was lost but assumed the dog was with the people who were walking further behind. he is letting the 20 or so people who work on the grounds to keep their eyes open. they have the poster.

- I assume she escaped and wasn't taken? Only if you think she was taken you need to contact the police and get a crime number. I took a poster into the Berystede Hotel spa this evening, they put it on the reception desk. If you haven't already, because of where you are, I’d also put posters in both petrol stations and all three garden centres and the other companies on their sites, especially Pet Food Kingdom. I've been in there a couple of times when people have brought in dogs they've just caught. As Polly isn’t chipped and not wearing a collar, posters, posters and more posters are very important. Do you have something warm she can get into in the garden just in case she comes back herself tonight? My heart goes out to you both and wishing Polly is home safe and sound real soon.
- 2012-02-07 20:19 charliepolly
- hi there, thank you for all the advice..she went missing this morning from the grounds of our house..we are about half mile from waitrose off the A30..have spoken to dog warden for surrey heath, windsor and maidenhead and runneymede councils, local vets, rspca chobham and battersea dogs, sunning dale golf club and ladies club..just praying we find her soon, my 5 year old daughter is devastated and me too. thank you.

- 2012-02-07 16:33 Angel

- 2012-02-07 16:19 Angel
- What time and how did she go missing? What part of Sunningdale are you in? i'm off Rise Road. If you haven't already, ask the schools to put up posters, doctors surgerys, vets, post office, waitrose, pubs, church, village halls, parish office, dog walking parks. Lots of professional dog walkers and groomers in our area, target them too. x
