I was confused too. Maybe the fact that she was outside the supermarket the people took her because they thought her in danger. I personally don't like to see it I tend to wait until owners return!!

ok i am confused!! why has the owner let her beloved dog that had been stolen stay with somebody who had stolen her????? it seems a little strange to be honest!

Had a call from her owner and they know where she is and have decided to leave her there as she is settled. As owner is no longer looking for Summer will move her into the BLUE.

Owner contacted me yesterday, Summer is not back home yet. I've advised them again to contact the Police and Dog Warden who should follow it up. When dogs are STOLEN it is vital the Police are contacted and owner gets a CRIME NUMBER. They should also be reported to the Chip Co as STOLEN, they will put a marker on the details. x

Owner only has access to Internet via phone and has said they know where Summer is and she will be back home tomorrow, will update when it is confirmed. Keeping everything crossed we see her in the blue soon. x

As with AniieSparky's suggestion, I would hope if they were Summer her chip would have been picked up, but probably still worth checking, especially with the current possible issues with Virbac chips.

I've spoken to owner on the phone and given advice and emailed more in depth advice via email.

SUMMER is now 9 months old, she was STOLEN from outside Tesco Walton County Road L4 on Tuesday 7th August 2012. Trying to sort a photo out so we can send out email alerts ant start sharing. x

Owner has posted on my fb page, I've asked for more details and more up to date photo. She was stolen 3 weeks ago from outside Tesco's, not sure exactly where yet. Owner may know where she is.

Hyndburn Stray dogs in need have a couple of black pups with white marks picked up separately as strays on their website. Might be worth having a look. It doesn't say if they are boys or girls

Spoken to owner again tonight who is having problems getting a photo sent, there are some on their mobile phone. I've checked their facebook page and there are no photo/s of Summer on there. Owner is going to ask another family member to help. Details updated once we have a photo/s email alerts can be sent out and various size posters done. x

Thanks Ashmark I have spoken to owner this afternoon and I will be sorting the photo/s out asap, with being in work have been unable to leave an update. Owner is on facebook and there are photo/s there which now that I am online will be able to check it out.

This puppy has been STOLEN from owner's back yard. She is MICROCHIPPED which is great, owner has alerted the Chip Co and their details are up to date. I've given advice and strongly advised they contact the police and get a CRIME No and not just an Incident Ref No. Halewood RSPCA has also been contacted and up until this afternoon they had not had a reply from the DW but owner had left a message with them. I'll check if she has been registered yet with the AW's which I did advise to be done a.s.a.p. Further info/advice will be emailed shortly.

Keeping everything crossed she is back home soon. x
