Messages received from Max's owners:
Hi everyone, we have found Max, He was returned to us today from a rescue centre in Essex through his microchip!!

Apparently Max was taken to a vet who failed to find his chip and then sent him to a rescue centre in Swanlea who fostered him out with a family in Essex.
It was one of the girls from the centre decided to scan him and found his chip!!!!!

SIGHTING!!!!
I spoke to the owner this evening, MAX was seen very shortly after he went missing in Bexley road, heading towards Avery Hill, a man saw a couple in a van stop, the woman seemed very concerned that Max was out on his own, he didnt see what happened next, the couple in the van were heading towards Avery Hill

I am collecting posters later to put up tomorrow.

I found this info about MAX whilst searching online ....
Broken coat, his coat is quite long at the moment as he hasn't been stripped since last spring. White with tan/black half-mask over left eye. Tail is docked. 10 kg - Small dog but quite large for a Jack Russell, approx 15 inches at shoulder. 15 years old. Microchipped.
He is hard of hearing and usually only responds to high pitched whistles etc unless very close.
He is short sighted and can't see clear images more than about 10m away.
His back legs are very weak and he walks with a distinctive 'shuffle' moving both back legs together in a kind of 'gallop' or a very stiff walk.
He currently has a gum infection which makes his breath smell badly.
Missing in the dark whilst out walking, Owner believes he walked on instead of turning into the park. He went back to look for him but thinks he must have gone the other way, he tends to get disorientated and follow other people.
Missing from approx 9 pm Sunday 12th Feb 2012 Glenesk Rd adjacent to Eltham Park South. Eltham, London SE9
