Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and comments. Thanks to everyone who has been helping to look for her. Sad sad time for us, hard job telling our 4 daughters about their beloved pet. As Kim says she is no longer lost. Poor little girl didn't deserve that but hope she is at peace now. xx

I heard from owner this afternoon but we couldn't post until now as a courtesy to owner. Sadly, it seems Lottie was hit by a car on Saturday night and it was only today confirmed that it was, in fact, Lottie. Such a dreadful thing to happen especially when there were sightings and hope. Whilst not any comfort at the moment, in time, it will help to know that Lotie has been found and is no longer lost. Home in spirit until they are all together properly once more, this time never to part, ever again. God bless you Lottie sweetheart, you are loved. You have earnt your little wings. x

Thats really kind thank you for your help. Happy for you to pass my numbers on. I'm back at work next week so I'm best to get hold of before 9.30am and after 3.30pm. Also we had a call from the police last night regarding a small white dog without a collar that had been knocked over by a car on the A505, from the description I gave of Lottie it wasn't her. But if there are any new reports of a lost dog in the area they should contact the police. Many thanks again, regards Alison.

Hi have been following this post and the one for Sid who is also lost. I tweeted Sally head reporter at Luton News and she will do a story about the dogs to highlight that they are missing. I hope this may be useful in some way, when she contacts me can I give her your number? need to get this in public eye. Hope you dont think I am butting in but as I live in LB and have a dog and I know how devastated you must be. Best of luck.

Thank you Chloe, been back several times to The Rye, put more posters up near Tulian. She isn't that far from home! Will drive and walk over that way all weekend, unforunately back to work next week so not as much time for me but if you give me a ring sometime, my Mum is happy for you to have her phone numbers. Thank you so much for your help.

Thanks Alison for updating. I have had a drive round this area and walked through the local fields calling her. Unfortunately not had any luck. Please continue to update with any new sightings on here so I can continue to help as much as I can.

After ringing local boarding kennels, have heard of another sighting of Lottie, near Tulian Boarding Kennels & Leighton Rugby Club on Wednesday 15th. People were trying to catch a terrier type dog, obviously didnt catch her, will poster over that way.

Oh, this is good. At least we have a lead. Remember that she may be doing her triangle thing, (as per the e-mail I sent owner) so may have wandered off in another direction, but she will come back to this one and also the place where she was lost. Also, owner remember that sometimes a dog in the wild gets extra scared and may not immediately recognise you - I know that sounds weird - but survival instincts kick in. If you see her don't chase, let her come to you. Try leaving something of yours and scenting the area she went missing from. Don't scent everywhere as it will confuse her, but scent places that are safe, away from roads where she was lost and sighted. Leave some food next to some scenting, in a safe place. Thank you dog warden for such a fab one! Keep safe Lottie baby, your mummy's coming for you! x

The lady who sighted the dog came to show me the exact spot she saw her, showed her photos of Lottie and she is fairly certain it is her. Gutted Lottie didnt come when called, will go back again tomorrow in the light. Extremely grateful to the lady who reported it, the Dog Warden for coming out and DogLost for their help too, hoping we find her tomorrow.

Confirmed sighting that matches the description of Lottie. The finder who sighted the dog has been put into contact with owner to help. The sighting of the dog was on the Rye in Eaton bray. The dog was sighted on the left hand side coming from Stanbridge Road on the sharp Bends on the side nearest stanbridge road. I have been out looking this afternoon a few times and the owner has been out calling her as well and is going to look again tomorrow.

Angela, I think you need to join forces! We do not know if this is a confirmed sighting of Lottie. Can you liaise with the other owners and get something in the local paper - as there are three of you it really is a story so they should run it. This is how you make your dogs very famous. Keep those posters going up. Together you are stronger. You CAN do it. Lottie's owner, please join forces! x

My black cocker spaniel is missing too and am from the same area LU6. I'm out and about all the time looking for him. I will keep an look out for Lootie too. Anything more I can do, just let me know. Wishing you the best of luck and I hope you get her back soon.

There was a post yesterday morning on FB site 'Don't Let Dunstable Die' reporting a similar looking dog firstly in Douglas Crescent then Brewers Hill Road, no further sightings though. Will keep a look out for her and hope she is home very soon.
