- Yes Fiona, it seems that this is a dispute of ownership.
We did have reports of a dog of Luna's description running loose on a few occassion but we have located the owner of this dog and it is NOT Luna
- 2012-05-02 21:09 Fiona
- Excuse my ignorance, does that mean Luna is with someone and not running loose as was thought. I have followed this as i love cocker spaniels.
- 2012-04-27 10:31 CJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
- Re Luna it appears from information we have that Luna is not a missing dog but a cival dispute.
I have been in contact with the local police force (Acting Inspector) who have heard from all parties therefore have much more information which we do not have.
part of my reply from this force is ……
I have reviewed the investigations into this allegation and I can assure you that they have been thorough and lengthy. We take all allegations of theft seriously and this case is no different. I am unable to go into details but I am content this is a clear matter of disputed ownership which can only be resolved in the Civil Courts.
Mrs Lamb has been advised to seek legal advice.

- Thank you Sarah&Noodle for checking this dog against Luna, at least we can eliminate it now.....bit concerned this dog is loose and is still limping though x
- 2012-04-24 09:06 Sarah&Noodle
- Unfortunately dog has been confirmed as not Luna
- 2012-04-23 22:01 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge
- Thank you Sarah&Noodle for posting this sighting
This dog was seen on the 3rd March in the same area so we are unsure if it is Luna but certainly needs to be investigated - 2012-04-23 21:29 Sarah&Noodle
- Possible sighting of Luna this morning in Wash Lane, Onehouse. Dog confirmed as black, white & tan and has a limp. Seemed frightened and would not go when called. Food put out in the hope that she returns.
- 2012-04-05 20:57 Daliman
- If anyone is around Finborough, Onehouse, and Stowmarket Golf Course ereas at any time, can you keep an eye out for Luna as there has been a possible sighting....
- 2012-03-16 17:12 Daliman
- I have been to Morrisons today and no sign of Luna. I will keep my eyes peeled everytime I visit there
- 2012-03-16 16:27 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge
- Luna is featured in local newspapers that cover Sudbury, Hadleigh, Newmarket, Bury and Thetford and Brandon today, hopefully this will bring some news x
- 2012-03-15 22:21 Daliman
- I don't mind at all I have 3 dogs myself and I would be in a real state if any of them went missing so am very pleased to help in any way that I can. I just hope that Luna is soon found and returned back to her owners as they must be so worried.
My friend and my son has shared Luna on their facebook. Hurry and show yourself Luna so that you can go home where you belong!! - 2012-03-15 19:57 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge

- Eeeew, no head! Sounds like it could have been a dog then. Well done Terry for looking.
- 2012-03-13 13:35 Daliman
- First duck I saw looked like it might of just died but the second duck was very mutilated and had no head. I will continue to look for Luna just in case she is around these areas cos there are so many hiding places that a dog could be at.
- 2012-03-12 18:42 *Amber*
- Hmmmm, do the ducks have any damage to their feathers Terry, like they've been killed by a dog? Well done for going out so much and looking for little Luna. Wish I could drive so I could help more! xx
- 2012-03-12 15:59 Daliman
- yes seems very strange, I cover the areas where there has been possible sightings every day with my dogs now and I havn't seen a single dog without its owner in any of these places. But there is alot of fields with hedges and ditches that a dog could be hiding though. I will contineu to look as I go out with my dogs and we will see and if there is a sighting again you can contact me on my numbers I gave in an email to you as I can get to the locations fairly quickly as near by and I don't mind as it will be really great to get this poor little girl back home and safe with her owners.
- 2012-03-12 15:13 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge
- Terry we are not even sure if Luna is in this area as it seems there has been only 3 sightings of a dog and one of them was described as a black and brown Collie type ( I seem to remember). I think the way forward is for posters in the area until we can know for definate there is a dog that needs to be caught here.
More posters are on the way to you
- 2012-03-10 16:34 Daliman
- can we not get a group of people together and do a sweep of the areas that Luna could possibly be and try and flush her out as there are so many fields, hedges and waste ground around that she could be hiding at or in.
- 2012-03-09 23:17 Daliman
- just got back from covering Onehouse Rd for an hour and found another dead duck. So I would say that it is very possible there is a dog roaming around this area. I am certainly going to get very fit now I am doing so much walking about and my dogs are thoroughly enjoying it hehe. I really wish that I could get a sighting of this poor little girl and so she can be reunited with her very worried owner.
- 2012-03-09 18:39 Daliman
- I have been along Onehouse Rd again and went down Thirlmere Drive and then to the end of Onehouse Road to where the pond is where Luna possibly was sighted and there was a dead duck there so maybe a dog had been there.
- 2012-03-09 15:23 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge
- Thanks dawny, even if this dog isn't Luna it sounds like it needs to be caught!
- 2012-03-09 15:19 dawny
- My sister lives in the onehouse road area, she walks her dogs every day, i have asked her to look out for luna. my mum lives in jubilee court i will print her a poster and get her to keep an eye out for her, hope she is found soon.

- Message from the owner.....
Had a call last night at 8 about dog running around onehouse road and that soneone had called dog warden to pick it up as was in and out of the road. i went there but couldnt find her. Just had another call seen again at 10 limping on front paw. Even if its not luna this poor dog needs to be found the man said a dark dog with a brown face - 2012-03-09 10:52 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge
- Thank you Terry, I have been in contact with the owner and we both feel that posters should be displayed further a field.
I have E-mailed you Terry x - 2012-03-08 18:00 Daliman
- ok today I have gone with my 3 dogs and a friend and covered Onehouse Rd, Wash Lane, Combs Lane and Finborough Rd and put flyers through a few doors and also put some posters up. But I did hear the other day that a Border Collie had been running about these areas the time that people said that they had seen Luna. So wonder if they saw that dog instead cos I have now gone down these roads for 4 days in a row at different times for several hours and not seen anything at all of Luna sadly.
- 2012-03-06 22:08 Daliman
- Hi Helen! Thats totally ok for me to put posters and flyers about as I am walking my dogs around the area no prob. I have emailed you my details for you to send me posters and flyers as I have run out of ink in my printer at the moment soz.
- 2012-03-06 21:07 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge
- Thank you Terry (again) and Amber for searching for Luna, I know the owner has handed out flyers in the area and I assumed she was postering too! Would it be cheeky of me to ask you to put a few posters up in the area as you are walking your dogs?? You can print them off from here or E-mail me on c.jermy@tiscali.co.uk and I will send you posters and flyers.
The owner is going to be handing out flyers further a field just to get the word in a wider area.
- 2012-03-06 20:09 Daliman
- I went out with my dalmatian around Wash Lane, Combs Lane and round the farmers fields and woods as when I arrived I saw a black animal running on the field and went into the woods also went Finborough Rd. Spoke to people at the caravan place and they said they havn't seen Luna at all. also I didn't see see any posters any where. Also my friend Amber joined me. I was around looking for 3 hours and Amber was around looking for 2 hours. But unfortunatelly we saw nothing of Luna. I am most likelly to be down those areas daily walking my dogs now.

- Thank you Terry for looking out for Luna x
- 2012-03-06 01:12 Daliman

- 2012-03-03 18:17 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge
- Owner's and helpers have been out searching for Luna all day but sadly nothing, plenty of flyers were handed out so hopefully we will get the news we are waiting for very, very soon xxx
- 2012-03-03 14:08 tucker
- Have been searching this morning. Covered Finborough Rd, Onehouse Rd, Wash Ln and Combs Ln. There are lots of fields/wooded areas around the Finborough Rd/Wash Ln area where she could be hiding. We were also given permission from the farm opp Wash Lane to use their private rd to search across their fields. No sign unfortunately :-( Maybe an idea to put posters up stating she has been sighted there, as I didn't see any.xx
- 2012-03-02 22:22 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge
- Thank you busterblue for going out to search for Luna.
To anyone who is helping to search for Luna tomorrow, please be aware that she is probably a very scared girl at the moment and not likely to come to anyone. Make sure you are carrying smelly food and if you are close enough to her throw some food and back off,no eye contact and crouch low to the ground. If you make soft whimpering noises this some times helps.
Let her come to you and on no accounts try to grab her as you will only have one chance!! If you don't catch her this will make her even more wary of people.
- 2012-03-02 22:02 busterblue
- Just been out and around in the 'finborough rd' area - its too dark at the min to see anything and plenty of hedge rows to hide behind. will have another look tomorrow. x

- Luna is featured in 2 local papers, hopefully this will bring some news xxx
- 2012-02-24 08:15 sixchimnies
- Surely it is not just a civil matter...the girl stole the dog, along with the paperwork, and whoever then had her was guilty of handling stolen goods!!!
- 2012-02-23 23:28 *Amber*
- I told my friend earlier, and he went out for a couple of hours looking for Luna, as he lives close by, and the owner gave him a poster the other day, but sadly he didn't see her.

- This is the post on facebook...
Dear Admin
About a year ago my daughter Kelyann and my son Peter nagged and nagged for us to buy A dog. I agreed to buy a dog on the understanding that they took some responsibility for it. Kelyann lost interest very quickly after a few weeks but my son was very good and walked her every day. Luna quickly became a loved family pet. kelyann moved out of our house about 3 weeks ago. On about the 1st of Feb I rang kelyann to ask her to look after the dog for the weekend as I was working 2 thirteen hour shifts and my husband and son were also going out. She told me to f*#k off she didnt want to look after the f#*king dog. I told her that moving out didn't mean she could abandon her responsibilies. WhileIi was at work on saturday she came to my house and picked up luna. I phoned her on monday but got no answer. I phoned her on tuesday and asked her when she was bringing luna home. Kely told me she had been asked to work a late shift and that a friend at work was looking after her, and she didnt know what time she was going to collect her. I phoned her again on wednesday and offered to collect luna, it was then that she told me she had got another evening job and didnt want to look after her any more so she had given her away. I asked her to go and get luna but she hung up. I tried to contact her several times on thursday and friday but her phone was off and as she had moved house that weekend I dont know where she is. I checked my files and found that lunas paper work was missing and I phoned the police to report this. On satuday kelyann sent the police to my house to tell me not to try and contact her or she will make a harrasment complaint. Luna is chipped and registered to this address and we are her legal owners and have full responsibility for her, but the police officers who came to us say that this is a civil matter and not within their role.

- There is statement with the back story on Luna's disappearance on the FB page for Luna. Do read it as is very long. The daughter took Luna and gave her away, hence the info about the lad in Morrisons having her. I am paraphrasing.
- 2012-02-21 04:12 Cathy
- I have been to see the manager at Morrisons but he knows who has her but declines to get invovled. Thank you everyone for your fantastic support. I have given out 4000 flyers and I have contacted the local press, as yet to hear from them.

- Yes I heard this also Myhal... I am hoping that the owner and one of our helpers will be going to Morrisons to hand out flyers (with the permission of the manager), speak to the manager and also make the staff aware of what is going on.
- 2012-02-20 15:37 Myhal
- I have heard that owners believe that someone who works at Morrisons Stowmarket, Suffolk has her. Surely obvious answer is to contact the manager of the Morrisons and he can ask the staff? Nobody would want to lose their job in this current climate by keeping a dog that doesn't belong to them. Failing that...I'd be posting notices on Morrisons boards in the store...implying someone who works for them might know where it is.

- Managed to catch up with the owner who is doing everything she can to find Luna. The Police, Dog Warden and all local vets have been notified.Posters are up in the area and flyers have been handed out.
I will E-mail general information including contact numbers for vets in the area. I have added Luna's details to Dog Lost Norfolk and Suffolk facebook group.
