- Alas, we managed to catch the little dog but it was not Rio, however Rios owners have taken him home for a good meal and a comfy bed and to notify the dog warden in the morning.

- There have been 5 possible/positive sightings of Rio (one by photograph)over the last two days in the Orleton lane/Hollies road area of Wellington (about 5/6 miles from where he went missing. Over the fields at the back of the lane and the surrounding area. Also sighted in Powder lane running towards Haygate Rd. Owners have been up in that area this morning searching and asking and I have been around the surrounding areas, park etc but nothing so far. I/we will go up there again when the sun starts to go down as I understand he might be more likely to show himself then. He is apparently very shy and would be difficult to catch so taking smelly food. Any other suggestions greatfully appreciated.

- Just speaking to the owner and she said when they got out into the field it had been snowing and snow had covered the entire field. When her husband entered the field to look for them their paw prints were quite visible - and they never left the field!! The only other prints were that of a person and a larger dog. I am wondering whether the walker arrived with one dog but left with three? There is no water in the field just treees and grass. 3 horses and a donkey are pastured there. They have spoken to the owner of these animals but no news there.
They are going to ask the Shropshire Star to run an article.Last edited: 2012-02-20 23:30:44 by coralvb - 2012-02-19 13:07 Riverlady

- I admit I thought Rio looked more Staffy x so have changed description as advised. Have taken owners some posters and have put some up in the Hilbrae charity shop and Pets at Home. I asked in Tesco but they were not very accomodating. Happy to print/take some more out if needed.

- I've put both photos of Rio and Rusty on the poster. Rio appears to resemble a SBT Cross rather than a Labrador Cross. I would strongly advise that his description is changed as with no chip he could slip through the system unnoticed. Maybe just Crossbreed would be a safer option?

- I understand that they do not have a printer and I don't have a colour one. I can try and print some posters in black and white but if anybody could help print some of Rio and Rusty when I have photo. (separate page) that would be helpful and they would be grateful.
I have also suggested they try and get something in the local paper in way of an article as they have been missing for nearly a fortnight now with no response to their newspaper advert and no sightings. - 2012-02-17 09:40 B30
- I'll bump the page then!
