Sadly the dog found in Wisbech is not a match for Yazz.

How dare you!!! I asked for clarification on here as a neighbour had been told by a visitor to her house that the dog had been found - if i were MENTALLY ILL i wouldnt have been asking the postman, the farmer, the farm workers etc to keep their eyes open!!! Dont you dare judge me for trying to find out information! I have 3 dogs of my own and would move heaven and earth to find them if they went missing.

Dear dawnie1972, please can you email me back, I am a close friend of the owner and would like to find out more about your information.
Auntie Katie
We've been in touch with Yazz's owner, she has not heard anything about this, and is understandably upset at the rumours going about.

Please be assured that as soon as Yazz is found we will update everybody - also we would like everybody to be assured that everything that can be done is being done to find her.

Can I also ask that if anybody does hear any thing that they contact us - either through any of the facebook pages or my email at Doglostcambridge@yahoo.co.uk

We all want Yazz to be found safe and sound and hope if we all keep sharing her information she can be reunited safely.

Thanks! x

Yazz is again featured in the newspapers and also the Dogs Monthly online magazine. Hopefully this will bring some long awaited news xxx

There were missing posters for Yazz posted all around and inside of Crufts so her face will be known. Just hope there is news of her soon.
dawnie1972
Saw the postman this morning who knew NOTHING about this missing dog and had seen no posters so have given him all the details and he will keep his eyes open as he covers the entire area around here.

I have changed her name to Yazz, requested by the owner x
Lozmilzak
just been told Yazz answers to both names though
Lozmilzak
Her name is Yazz, Vanya was her mother, not sure how the mix up happened, a big search of the area was made by fellow leonberger owners/breeders on sunday, they really spread tge world amongst the locals, but with the weather so bad she may have been lying low to keep warm

Yazz was featured in Our Dogs Magzine and the Peterborough Evening Telegraph, hopefully this will bring some news xx

TheDogmother
From Facebook it appears her real name is Vanyathe. So I suspect like most people they call their dog by many names depending on the playfullness of teh mood at the time. My Scooby gets called Scoobs, booboo and oi scruffy. But his name is still Scooby.
Auntie Katie
Oh, that makes me a little confused too! I'll see what I can find out :)

Vanya is still missing. There was a positive sighting of her on Saturday. Her owners is postering and out searching whenever she can. They are hoping to do a larger scaled group search later this week. So fingers crossed she'll soon be home in the warm. xx

Auntie Katie
Have tried to contact owner but she is out for the afternoon. I'm unlikely to be able to get anywhere to get reception later today so have emailed all local information and advice. Will let all local rescues, vets and contacts know also so people can keep an eye out for her. I have requested a photo of Vanya to be sent to us for posters and flyers.

thorney isnt far from me so i will keep a eye out

Sorry to see that YAZZ is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (37156)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
