- 2012-02-21 14:07 dewilliams42
- I STILL THINK IT COULD BE TRAVELLERS AS THEY HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO LEAVE DOGS TIED UP AND ALSO THE POOR CONDITION THIS POOR DOG WAS IN. I THINK TRAVELLERS DOGS ARE SOMETIMES LEFT TO SCAVANGE FOR FOOD AND THEY LIKE JRT. WHAT BREED WERE THE OTHER DOGS LEFT TIED UP AND ALSO IN SIMILAR CONDITION? WERE THEY ABLE TO GO TO RESCUE? THIS POOR LITTLE CHAP SOUNDS AS THOUGH HE HAD AN AWFUL LIFE.

- Thanks Digbysmum but not a match for any of those three boys. I will put my artist hat on tonight and attempt to draw a picture of him. Jo has photos but it may help to have a drawing on his page. A press release will be issued today and they may include the photos, we are not trying to upset anyone but it may help with information or stop whoever is doing this as i think its related to other dogs found.. For those brave enough to look, check our website on www.basildon.gov.uk it will be on the home page under recent press releases.

- 2012-02-17 19:38 dewilliams42
- THIS IS SO SAD. POOR LITTLE BOY, HE MUST HAVE BEEN SO FRIGHTENED. I AM SO GLAD YOU WILL BE INVESTIGATING THIS.
- 2012-02-17 19:17 Basildon DW
- This poor dog was tied up to a fence with very little slack and it is very apparent he was panicking and unfortunately strangled himself. We will be investigating with our colleagues at the RSPCA. This is not the only dog to be left tied up in this park.
