- Thanks Jayne, thought you might be pleased on this one :) A couple of weeks ago Jayne had a call from a pet store in Blackpool that one of their customers had heard that a boxer had been found in Blackpool beach, unfortunately no longer with us. It is thought she had been in the water for some time. After many calls to Blackpool Council (who were superb) we established it was a female tan boxer with a white chest. We were convinced it was Lady but the owner was not - thankfully. The council advised that the owner not try to identify her as it would be far too traumatic but via a phonecall with the manager of the depot it was then found that this dog also had 4 white socks - it wasn't Lady. Very sad for the dog that was found as far as I am aware her identity has never been confirmed. I have looked everywhere but not found any reports of a similar dog.
Thank goodness Lady's owner never gave up. Just the best outcome for this girl and I can honestly say one of the nicest calls I have ever received. A reunited photo will hopefully follow.
Welcome Home sweet girl :)) x - 2012-03-11 18:21 Millypod (Chris) - Administrative Volunteer

- Just had the best call ever, LADY IS HOME!!! Owner was out driving and spotted her being walked by a lady. When they approached Lady went ballistic to see them and there was absolutely no doubt who's dog she was. She had been bought from a guy a few weeks ago.
Welcome Home girl, I am delighted for the family who did a sterling job and never gave up. Stay safe now little girl :)) x - 2012-02-28 16:01 Goldenfrodo

- I have just spoken to Lady's owner. All the local kennels (inc Sundown), vets, dog wardens microchip company have been contacted and posters are already up in the area.
A visitor left the front door open and Lady bolted out the door and over the fence. Have recommended contacting the Fylde Dog Warden and to get posters up far and wide. I will send the advice email asap.
Keeping my fingers crossed that Lady is home soon :) - 2012-02-18 18:32 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
- Poster emailed to helpers in ALL FY POSTCODES.
