- This has made my day :) I am so happy Harry is back, this experience must have been so distressing for his owners, but I am just so glad that it has turned out ok. Hope you don't mind me saying this but my friend's dog Bonnie was stolen in September and we would dearly love to see her in the blue. She is dog no 32839. Can everyone have a look and keep an eye out and fingers crossed she can be back home just like Harry. Good luck and give Harry big hugs x

- I too just had to come and have another look at this page! Trust Kimmybear to make me cry again - she always knows how to press my 'emotion buttons'..... Never give up, keep working owners, Oh Kimmybear - you have inspired so many, and I hope you bask in this wonderful happy ending!
Any stolen dog is an outrageous and indecent act, but every now and then - there's an incident that seems to enrage people and get right under their skin, to the extent that there's an amazing wave or surge of outgrage and support.
HOW DARE these destructive vile low-lifes take our best friends from us. I have to try and believe that 'what comes round...goes round' but would still resort to finding out these evil swines - and castrating THEM - using jagged bricks and without anaesthetic. Being so involved with this wonderful site has shown me the very worst, yet the very best of man/womankind. Well done all you Doglost doggie angels. xxx AND WELCOME HOME HARRY XXXXX - 2012-03-01 17:04 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
- Looks as though Harry is going to be in the Sun newspaper tomorrow. I will be on Radio Essex tomorrow at 7.30 am about Harry and dogtheft in Essex...owner would like to say a huge thanks to our local co-ordinator Kimmy bear for all the support and help offered.

- Love a happy ending. me.......hugs to Harry, well done to everyone for making him so high profile which I am sure was the key here. As someone suggested, does pub have cctv which may contain info??

- I'm in work now, but had to have another sneaky look at Harry's page. I am so delighted this is such a happy ending! I wonder if he was dumped and someone found him and decided to keep him, then when realised, gave him up? Or did thieves pass him on to someone and the new person realised where Harry had come from and panicked? I doubt thieves would have washed him? Poor little mite, he must be quite stressed out. Safe and happy and home now, although he may not want to be left alone now for a while, Macca. He may have "issues" with that (I would!). Bless him. Our dogs have amazing stories to tell. Welcome home you sweet baby! x

- I was so happy when I heard the amazing news from the owners last night. Best news possible. They have worked so hard to get Harry home and I'm sure that he was made too hot to handle. I'm a teacher at a school they emailed and all the children cheered when they heard he was home. I think every schoolchild in the area knew he was missing. Brilliant! I shall take my posters down later. I put up a couple locally this morning to say that he'd been found. Stay safe little Harry!xxx

- Tonight visited Katherines, there are lots of posters there, great, but put more up anyway! Also around Sumners, Roydon, Nazeing, Hunsdon, Hadams & Albury on way home. The Katherines Estate was so busy around 530-6pm, there are shops, kids walking home from school, dog walkers etc. I am glad that Hils has actually pin pointed an area because anyone that knows Harlow knows it's a maze!!! I think if anyone else phones in a sighting, it is paramount to get a location and time, then we can see if a pattern develops. There are plenty of posters up now so if somebody has him, word will surely get around. Hope he is home soon.

- just to add that our dog was taken whilst out for walk last a while back, and he was found near traveller sight an hour after we recieved a call from an irish accent asking for money. some how our dog managed to escape and we found him so these things happen. It really is worth pushing police to enter the site. and please do keep your hopes up as on another occasion dog lost helped us find our dog
- 2012-02-29 19:49 milo
- Hi, surely the fact there been a possible sighting of HARRY is evidence enough for the police to investigate with a micro chip device with them? If Harry is there at the travellers sight, they would prob have him tied up in there if he is there.so would not be able to run away again. I would really try and push the police to go in there. Will keep looking on my travels.

- HI...MYSELF AND ANOTHER LADY TRIED FOR 20 MINUTES TO CATCH A LITTLE WESTIE LAST FRIDAY MORNING AT ABOUT 4.30-5AM.HE WAS RUNNING UP AND DOWN THIRD AVENUE NEAR TO THE ENTRANCE OF SMITHKLINE BEECHAM AND THE TRAVELLERS SITE.(BACKING ONTO KATHERINES ESTATE)HE EVENTUALLY DISAPPEARED TOWARDS THE ENTRANCE TO THE TRAVELLERS SITE THEN RAN DOWN FLEX MEADOW TOWARDS TESCO DISTRIBUTION CENTRE.
DON'T WANT TO GET YOUR HOPES UP TOO MUCH BUT HE HAD A CURLY TAIL.
WE ASSUMED HE WAS A DOG FROM THE TRAVELLERS SITE AS THEY ARE OFTEN RUNNING UP AND DOWN THAT ROAD.I WILL KEEP AN EYE OUT AS I LIVE IN SUMNERS NEARBY.
I THINK TOMORROW I AM DRIVING THE 331 BUS THROUGH BRAUGHING ETC SO I SHALL PUT ONE UP ON THERE.....XXX - 2012-02-29 18:58 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- Yes, police OR dog warden can check Harlow's traveller sites. Official Council ones are easier to access. However, they need some evidence to warrant a visit. A number of dogs have been retrieved from this site in the past. But, I would suggest owner contacts Harlow council dog warden again re the sightings in Katherines. I also feel the police may need nudging again. I do know owner is doing absolutely EVERYTHING to find his dog. We need to find out who this little stray westie is at Katherines. If travellers had him, they could have let him go. If it isn't him, this one obviously needs help too, could be another missing dog escaped from there. But Kenna you are correct - site and Glaxo, thank you! Have informed owners.
- 2012-02-29 14:31 milo
- hi,i will keep a look out as i live near to katherines area, will also keep eye out on travels around in the car. if harry is chipped cant police check traveller sights? dont know if that possible.
- 2012-02-29 12:40 Kenna
- That's not too far from the gypsy caravan site, Oh know 2 days ago :( was both sightings the same day? Have the owners contacted Glaxo smith kline? as that is next to church end.Last edited: 2012-02-29 12:51:35 by Kenna

- Hi I have just returned from postering Ware, Thundridge, Wadesmill and Hertford. I put up 2 posters bang outside the permanent traveller site at the Brookfield Centre Cheshunt (being scrutinised as I left!!). House burglaries are relatively rare around here, we tend to have outbuilding break-ins. Not sure if owners aware that there was another house burglary in Braughing about a month ago. The general consensus was that it was a local. Landlord in Axe & Compass may be worth speaking to if you haven't already, I know the police went in to ask questions, fingers crossed!!

- Hi Sam66, the dog was stolen 8 miles north of ware (Braughing, next to Puckeridge) but that still would be a good place to search. Thanks
- 2012-02-28 14:23 sam66
- Hi Kimmybear, is it the Ware vicinity that we need to focus on? Was there a lead to that area? I have a spare couple of hours now and can take a drive around, where is the best place for me to be??!!
- 2012-02-28 01:10 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- If you have received an alert, we need you! If you live around 6 miles of this area, we need you! There is a possibility that Harry was abandoned along the route, as does happen sometimes. PLEASE would everyone drive, walk, jog along the roads in these areas to look for him. Check all along the roadways & lanes especially where there is a layby or car park where a vehicle could have pulled over. Also remember any any discarded rubbish could be from burglars too. Maybe a discarded collar? Nothing is certain but we need to cover this angle now. If anyone has CCTV along the main routes out of the Ware area, can they be checked? If so, please contact owner. PLEASE HELP HARRY. Thank you. x Last edited: 2012-02-28 10:29:02 by Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders

- Breaking in to someones home and stealing what does not belong to them is bad enough, but to steal a treasured family pet is the lowest act of all. Whoever took Harry is lower than low and I hope the police are working hard to find this scumbag. Hurry home Harry xx

- It is bad enough being burgled but to take one's pet is reprehensible. I hope whoever took him finds it in their heart to bring him back home to you. Have you checked Gumtree and other classified sites and put his details on there? Good luck and hope little Harry is back home soon with his family x

- Just had the reporter from the local paper that I recommended to owner on the phone for another reason and he told me about this:
http://www.hertfordshiremercury.co.uk/Hertfordshire/Braughing-family-heartbroken-after-dog-stolen-23022012.htm
Harry will be in the paper next Thursday but in the meantime is in the online version for today. - 2012-02-23 16:22 Unknown
- Sorry to see Harry has been stolen, but at least he is microchipped. You are so right Kimmybear to ask the owners to make a nuisance of themselves. And yes this is a crime; it`s theft. All xd for his safe return
- 2012-02-23 13:13 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- Harry's owners, you need to keep pestering the police to find Harry. They must treat his disappearance as a CRIME. Do not take no for an answer! BailyP well done, thank you. Owners you must speak to the dog warden and traveller liaison officers - speak to the council for both of these. This is a high possibility - no time to waste. Get him in the papers, on the radio as BaileyP said, go everywhere. As Harry was stolen in a burglary this will make news for the local papers so they will run it. Go national if you can. Try anything. You need to work really hard and the police need to help you. Put hundreds and hundreds of posters up. Make him too hot to handle. Other dogs have got back home when owner has made it their mission and you can do it too! Miracles happen on here. Go for it! Lets get Harry home. x
- 2012-02-23 09:00 macca
- Hi, yes he is chipped, I have amended the details. Still no leads and no further on than before.
- 2012-02-22 22:57 BaileyP
- Is Harry chipped - poster says he is and so does one place on his page but further up it says that he isn't.
Have sent email to Simon Lederman on 3CR with Harry's poster and asked him to do an appea for him. Fingers crossed that he can do it. - 2012-02-22 22:28 BaileyP
- Have texted owner and suggested a contact at the local paper which covers all areas down to North London. Also contacting Traveller Liason Officer for Herts. A few traveller sites not too far away from here. I have a contact at 3 Counties radio and am going to ask if he can do a mention for Harry on the Breakfast Show. Covers Herts, Beds and Bucks.

- Hi Everyone, still no luck in finding Harry. Not one person has seen him so we believe he was stolen. We have absolutely nothing to go on.
My little boy keeps kissing Harry's photo, which is so upsetting. Thanks for all your support so far. We will keep on searching - 2012-02-21 20:49 suziewoo

- First of all, do not believe that your dog has not been stolen. We hope not, but as said below, it has happened more than once. You need to assume it is very possible. I am emailing you info and advice, please do everything it states. You need to make Harry so famnous the world knows he's missing and you need to make the police believe this is the case because they need to investigate this crime on both counts! We need to make all vets, all dog wardens, within at least 30 mile radius aware. Facebook Harry like mad! All helpers on board for this one please, thank you!x
