Hi everyone, well it give me great pleasure to let you all know that we now have Reife back! We recieved a phonecall 2 hours ago from a man who had found him. He is now home safe and sound! I would just like to thank you all for your hard work, kindness and support for the past 12 weeks! Lots of love from Amy. Just shows never give up! xxxx

That's what my Dad has been doing every week. Just to keep up the awareness as people are quite likely to forget that he is still missing :( I'll get my dad to put that info in though as that may hopefully help get Reife back home xxx

Hi everyone, It was the Mcdonalds at Roker retail park in Sunderland. My friend works there and she checked the cctv for me and on the cctv all you can see on the reg is the last 3 letters unfortunately. Also it's an old green car and she thinks the model is a ford. We've contacted the police and they said they would need the full reg to be able to check properly however like they have said in the past, they will keep a look out. wow,,this is good news for you,,,sure they should have cctv?? i would def ask then contact the police to check this out!! always thought someone did have this boy,,but too risky to try and take him,,maybe it isnt! I would kill anyone for trying it with mine,,and he looks just like Reife ;-) I am watching everyday for any updates,,hoping something comes from this ;-)

Which McDonalds was he seen at? Do you know what colour the car is? Is there no CCTV that could be checked to get a full reg plate?

Hi everyone I have an update! My friend's sister works in Mcdonalds and believe that she saw Reife in a car with the man on Sunday 25.3.12 at around 11.30 in the morning. The car was possibly a small ford model and the registration number ended with 'WEX'. If anyone has any confidential information of who they think might have him etc if they could please let us know that would be great thanks. Also if you do find/spot Reife and can manage to grab a hold of him that would be a massive help! There is also a reward.

Thanks Anita1! and Yes fudgeybaby he is really good with other dogs thank you. And we believe that he was stolen and then released to this area as it is too far for him to walk plus we live next to a motorway so I doubt he would stand a chance! Also he was locked in his kennel and when my brother went to feed him someone had obviously broke in astole him :( Thanks for your help everyone

hello, i am very close to all the areas of the possible sightings, i travel around the area quite a bit and i am out walking with my dog in those areas too. I am out at 6am on a morning so maybe if he is up and about early i will spot him. Is he okay with other dogs as i usually have mine in the car ? I have your numbers stored in my mobile just incase. Good Luck i hate to think what you are going through. If he is in this area he has walked a good distance from where he was lost poor thing

could be another bullie,,he is just like mine too ;-) i do think someone has him though,,or he would be sighted far more than he is being in that busy area,,especially about the shops looking for food etc

Hi Janey, Yes we have aswell but nothing too :( I got a phonecall from a lady last night saying that she thought she seen him being walked by a man in Silksworth on Saturday evening 10.3.12 next to Morrissons. She said if she's sees him next time she will shout his name and see if he responds. I'm at uni today but once I finish I will head up that way to see if it could be him.

Refie has been possibly spotted int the Grindon area of Sunderland next to Grindon lane.

If you can please help us to find him that would be great. If you do find Reife and can manage to grab a hold of him that would be a massive help! There is also a reward.

Reife has possibly been spotted in the following areas:

FRIDAY (2.3.12) MORNING AROUND 8.30 a.m AT THE TND OF HEXHAM ROAD, HYLTON LANE ESTATE JUST OFF HOLBORN AND HADLEIGH ROAD ON THE GREEN JUNCTION.

SUNDAY NIGHT (11.3.12) GENERAL GRAHAM STREET, JUST OFF CHESTER ROAD NEXT TO SUNDERLAND HOSPITAL.

***If anyone finds him please get in contact immediately as there is a reward!***

Hi, can you add your facebook link please and I will share (I live South Shields) Also a bit of a long shot but have you tried contacting the professional dog walkers / dog boarders, people like you or I but they walk other peoples dogs for a living if they are out and about a lot one of them might have seen something, long shot I know. Also I know you;ve done lads of posters but what about Penshaw park, again lots of dog walkers who might have seen him or if you hand out flyers and they then see him a day or so later they will remember and have the flyer to refer back to. I've seen mention of scenting on here before...doglost admin could advise on that.....I'm in Shields and a dog owner and would be devasted if anything happened to either of mine so if you want some help at weekend (assuming he's not back by then) with flyers etc just let me know.

As I have been promoting on facebook alot of people have been very helpful asking if he is friendly and he is very much! So so placid! Barely barks! Yes we have been Janey he is advertised everywhere thanks I know bless him! Everytime he has been spotted it's been around shops so I think the poor soul will be starving :( Just wish I had him back so I could make his favourite dinner for him :( Scrambeled eggs! ha! New update: Reife may have been spotted on Saturday (3.3.12) afternoon Chester road, Sunderland, outside the church opposite the subway shop. If anyone sees him/finds him please get in touch asap! I just keep checking in to see how things are ;-( keep up the good work!! he is with someone then,,and word needs to get about, these dogs dont just turn up very often,,we got loads of calls about a one in cleadon kennels (not ours) so it shows people do take notice,,just wish he was into the blue by now dont give up hope x

Hi Janey! Yes we've done hundreds of posters and everyday I am promoting the posters on facebook and twitter too! My dad has had him in the sunderland echo everyday and they even wrote an article on my dog too! Yes my brother has tried calling them today but no one was available to answer the phone so we shall try first thing tomorrow morning! Been trying all kennels too but nothing :( Don't worry we'll never give up! Just want him back safe and sound! Can't stop dreaming about having him back and then waking up and realising the reality :'( It's awful! Yes fingers, paws, toes are all crossed!! xxxxxx

have you done loads of posters? and put him in the sunderland echo? try doing the smaller posters 4 on a page printed and cut up,,plaster cars at your local supermarket where he is lost from,,it only takes one to know where he is!he is chipped and from experience they do check in your area when they are brought in, are you calling the cleansing dept too? not nice but you would rather know, its amazing how people take notice of posters and the papers,,but time is of the importance , this boy needs to be home, and if someone has him he needs to made too hot to handle,,dont give up on him just yet,,its so hard,,my bully was unsighted for 8 days then he was home ;-) all paws crossed your wont be long x

Hi everyone, thank you all for your concerns! Reife last wore a blue collar but the people who may have stolen him this may have been taken off for some reason as his collar had his name on. There is no way Reife could of walked from East boldon to Pennywell as Gypsy has already stated there is too many main roads etc. We don't know whether they are genuine sightings Gypsy but any news at this rate is just giving us hope that there is a chance he could still be alive! I just want him back safe and sound :'( xxxx

hi ive just seen a post on fb stating some1 Saw a dog had been ran over and killed at about 12 noon today on A19 Hylton bridge..... Person who must have did it was walking back up to it.....so hopefully will have informed relevant people. (this was posted 5hours ago) could anyone confirm if he had harness or collar on? :-(

I wonder if it might be worthwhile contacting the local bus company with flyers/posters and ask if they can keep a look out - Grindon is on the main bus route.

Grindon is no distance at all from Pennywell but they are both a few miles from Bolden. If he had travelled from Bolden alone he would have had cross lots of busy main roads and a bridge (Alexander Bridge) or a dual carriageway (A19)! Surely someone would have picked him up?

Do the sightings seem genuine?

Reife is microchipped to his previous owners but his present owners are in contact with them. I have advised that they contact Petlog to try to change the ownership details and also to get him flagged up as missing. Owners have contacted the dog warden and Cleadon kennels and are putting up posters. Reife vanished when his owner was visiting his old home and its is thought he escaped from the garden and wandered off. Hopefully someone has taken him in and will report they have found him to the dog warden which they are required to do BY LAW. Hoping for some news of Reife very soon x
