Champs owners have called me with the wonderful news that he is home. His owner went to the fishing ponds where he was last seen running after he was hit by the car and alerted all the fishermen that Champ was missing and could be hiding up there and not long after this one of them spotted Champ lurking in the bushes and was able to catch him and well done to them ! Champ has a few cuts to his face and damaged claws and was quite confused and traumatised when his owner first saw him but once back in his home environment he was soon a much happier boy ! So very pleased to be able to say welcome home Champ and please stay safe from now on xxxLast edited: 2012-02-25 19:36:28 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire

Although the area Champ lives in comes under Rotherham his owners have been told stray dogs in this area are under the jurisdiction of Barnsley dog warden and would be taken to Cliffe kennels.I have advised they still need to check with Mount Pleasant for Rotherham strays though as he could be picked up over the border in Rotherham.

Champ was hit by a car and was seen to go under the car but was not hit by the wheels. He then bolted off and was last seen running at great speed by a friend of the owner . The only other possible sighting since then has been of a man walking his dog with a jack Russell he has not been seen with before. Champs owners have contacted dog wardens , Cliffe Kennels, Mount Pleasant Kennels and are postering. They have problems getting a photo to us but I am trying to help them with this and hopefully we will get his photo on here tomorrow.
