- Other Info Dog running along North Road at about 6pm. Caught about 6.30pm. Scared, but vet checked and given a cautious good health bill. Limping slightly. Is staying with a friend of mine tonight in the company of their labradoodle. Beautiful dog, very calm and quiet, friendly and inquisitive. Very happy with people and other dogs. I called her Purdie, friend prefers Beauty and she answers to both, so assume her name ends in y. Happily jumped in my car and went straight over to back seat and sat there like s

- Just came on to post about that. Luckily, Thurrock Council have an out of hours message service so was able to leave a message BUT not without a struggle and a strop!
I explained I had found a dog in North Road, South Ockendon (within Thurrock) and rang when I got home. Said the dog was safe and a friend was looking after her, no need to collect. But, when I gave my Brentwood address she started telling me she couldn't help, they wouldn't collect from Brentwood and I had to call Brentwood Council. Really had to insist she took my details (didn't tell her Molly was in Upminster - Havering Council!) in case someone called and, three hours later, Molly's owner DID call to report her missing!
This area is at the apex of Havering, Brentwood and Thurrock - it would be great if more cross-border working was done. Dogs don't tend to just go missing in the borough they live in!
Anyway, left Molly's owner with a happy dog, some microchip information and her dog lost page!Last edited: 2012-02-24 16:15:55 by Karen&Louis - 2012-02-24 11:54 Goldenfrodo

- MOLLY's owner Danny has just called me! He's been out for six hours looking for her. She went off to chase rabbits so that explains the mud! I'm taking her home in the morning so we can move her into the blue then!
