- Have just spoken to the kennels. Apparently on the day this happened, a local drunk who lost his home in a fire and had his dog at these kennels. Was told his dog had been pts as she had a very large untreated tumour all carried out on vets advice. He was angry. Kennel staff are now wondering if there is any connection to this theft. This man apparently is seen in the local parks in Burslem area and believed to live at a shelter in the Hanley area. Police say they cant accuse him as there is no proof. Reg the male staffie, his owners are aware. However, Popeye and Susies owners have not been told as of today....and they are not due back until August. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
