Oh my goodness! This is fantastic! What a happy surprise, even shock, to find your beloved missing dog standing back in your kitchen! I am so very pleased someone had a conscience and that you all did so well to make this baby so famous he became too hot to handle. Welcome home sweet Nipper! Absolutey wonderful news! x
Unknown
Brilliant news. Thrilled that you have Nipper back where he belongs; with his RIGHTFUL owners. You must be ecstatic, and I bet Nipper`s tail hasn`t stopped wagging. Stay safe noiw Nipper:-)xxx PS Why do some people take other people`s much loved pets, when there are rescue centres, like the Dogs Trust, RSPCA, and other animal rescue centres, where these animals are looking for a new home. In a few cases I believe some centres will pay vet fees for an ongoing medical problem. There is no excuse for stealing someone else`s pet. Grrrr..

Just spoken to Darran and he says Nipper just appeared in his kitchen when he had left door open for other dogs. Someone had to have put him through their gate which was closed..this person must have known his address to have done this as no address was on the posters. D and family had recently been keeping lookout at places where Nipper had been sighted and gave his address to a couple of the people he had spoken to. So a happy ending at last!

Glad you are still out and about looking for Nipper. Keep hassling Hastings Observer about printing a story as it reaslly sounds as though someone has him .. as their office is opposite you..keep going in with your daughter and don't let them give you the brush off!! It's a great way to get the word out that he is still missing and being missed by your family. Or perhaps you could put an ad in Friday Ad as it goes into so many homes?
darran
i have put more posters around and we are still searching for nipper we are not giving up hope any information has been followed up

darran
skye can you please send any more details on walk times and a location in pilot road so that i can drive down and look thank you

Hi. Another possible shot in the dark but if you go on facebook and type in East sussex adopt a dog and look at a dog called Sam posted on the 27th march. It says the dog has been clipped. Please take a look. This site is run by Hastings Animal wardens so might possibly be one of their strays?
Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
Oh .. Whatlington Way's not far from you either. Yes, it would be good to doublecheck on this.. Suggest you make sure there are lots of posters in that area. That way if he is being looked after by someone they will know he is missing and so will other people .. make him too hot to handle. Also it would be worth contacting all the local vets again in case it is him and he is taken in.
THANKS ANGUS .. any ideas how Darran could check on the dog mentioned in post below?? Do you think the dog wardens in Hastings would give Doglost any information on the address or at least be persuaded to go and scan the dog in question?? Nipper is quite distinctive in appearance and it seems odd that a similiar JR?Tx has been seen so close. Otherwise, have you any other suggestions?Last edited: 2012-04-09 00:32:03 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex

Nipper has been re registered by owners today - I have bumped this page and will delete the new registration
darran
We have been looking everywhere for nipper still no sign of him there wasajack russell found in whatlington way matching nippers discription but by the timethe wardens got there i had been reunited and they did notget a cance to scan him i have been driving down there every day to see if i can spot someone walking him but no sign of any jack russell so still hopeful. the wardens would not give darran any information on the address etc so that we could at least know it was not him i dont know if you can help on this information even just to confirm it was or was not nipper dog wardens ref no37398

Any news or sightings on Nipper yet? If you need any help with posters (altho I'm sure you will have put them up most places) please let me know where you need them as don't want to cover same ground as you. Also hope you have hassled the Observer into putting a story in the paper. Don't give up.

Hi Clarkey. I remember Myfi xx
samellie
This is a long shot , but animal wardens ltd have found a JR in Hailsham, ref 261049. No other details on there whether male/female, but bare in mind crowhurst etc backing onto battle road on way to bexhill etc and hailsham isnt a million miles away. Worth a phone call
Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
Sent text to owner this morning .. no reply yet.

Thanx samellie ..was going to contact you but you beat me to it. My girl came to stay with you in Dec (Myfi)! That would be very helpful..thanx.

I reckon castleham estate would be good to poster to lots of woods around the queenway.
samellie
Clarkey. I am on Westfield lane. I am the kennel owner of Whitelands. We have the woods behind us and often local strays come here after hearing the barking. I will walk the woods again today . Maybe hes gone searching down a hole for rabbits etc. Will poster local shops this afternoon and when my laminater decides to work will put some more up in the village on lamp posts
Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
My friend did thorough walk with her dogs up Beaneys and around woods but no sign of Nipper or barking. Met with owner, walked with his boxer up B.Lane and put posters up, met several walkers, horserider and informed them & gave posters. Posters in to Helenswood Lwr school, Hastings Centre and Eldridges. Owner thinks someone may hv taken Nipper in (as friendly little chap) & not reported it despite having collar and tag on..but sometimes collars come off..so need to make people aware. No luck with Observer yet. Last edited: 2012-03-01 11:52:10 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex

I live very near where this little chap is lost from and will check the woods behind my house, and keep a close eye out on my walks etc... I have also posted this to twitter and facebook. Good luck

Just spoken to my friend who lives on the Ridge..they hv heard small dog barking for several nights and Monday daytime but can't work out where it's coming from, so she will walk the area 2mrw and I am meeting with D to search with their Boxer dog up Beaney's Lane/Maplehurst Wood area (Westfield Lane side). Samellie: do u know anyone living near there please? The barking sounds muffled so maybe Nipper is stuck in an outbuilding, in a hole or even bn picked up by someone and is in a house? May be a false lead but a good starting point. We will do this & poster on way back if no success. Keep fingers crossed please.Last edited: 2012-02-28 22:03:31 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex

D rang me today and he is doing all the right things. I am going to meet with him tomorrow and search around local fields/woods Ridge West area etc. Samellie .. many thanx, yes Hastings Dog Warden is aware and owner will contact Eastbourne & Rother wardens as well. D needs all the help he can get as N is his young daughters dog..she is unwell & does not know N is missing yet. Wld u let us know where u hv postered please? Also suggested getting the Observer to run story on Fri if possible. Will do vets, Southern Water office (they own Ridge West fields by Queensway), Sainsburys if allowed, R West Industrial Estate, Highbeech, Beauport Park Club/stables. Hoping Nipper has gone after a bitch in season as not had the op and will come home soon!
samellie
I see that Nipper doesnt appear to be listed on the Animal Wardens ltd site which is the contracted dog wardens for this area. Has the owner not contacted them?...Apologies i see it now. I live in this area so will poster and keep eyes openLast edited: 2012-02-28 14:27:02 by samellie

Message to Admin..Hv offered to help if owner can get posters printed and to search but am working tomorrow. Has owner got all search info from you please?
Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
sorry to see Nipper is missing. Expect you have already been around Ridge West fields (by Queensway/Ridge West)but suggest you go down Beauport Home Farm Close and the track at the bottom on the left will take you all the way down to Beauport Home Farm Cottage. You can see the fields very clearly from this rough track. The woods between this property are private but back on to the Ridge and would be somewhere Nipper may go if he is in this area.. I am sure if you ask the owners of BHFm Cottage they would let you have a proper look. Good luck in yr search. If you need help with posters or a search please leave post here.
