- I have just been told by a local person who saw my post on Labrador forum that the dial code for the landline should be 01298 not 01288. Hopefully this can be confirmed and altered. I am sure if anyone had called it the wrong one they would try the mobile or email here.

- We are a bit further south but Cheadle and District Animal Welfare Society take in strays in the Staffordshire Moorlands area and have all the usual contacts. They have a facebook page (I will put Eva on it) and run a lost/found register - tel 01889 564045. Also worth alerting Tenford Kennel as they take in strays from the Moorlands - 01538 722457
The Ark at Ashbourne do not take in strays directly but do pick up from the pound so another possible way to spread the word - http://www.ashbourneanimalwelfare.org/
You can also write your own article and put it on the 'this is derbyshire' website. It allows you to add pictures and links and the 'This Is' websites are what the local papers use so get a good few visitors. You have to register but it is free and no spam. http://www.thisisderbyshire.co.uk/home
I wish you much luck - it is the weekend - lots of folk will be out so everything crossed for Eva's safe return.

- Spoken to Eva's owner diane. A facebook page has now been set up - HELP ME FIND EVA http://www.facebook.com/groups/321701497888469/
Have advised that the search be extended, vets, dog wardens, dog homes further afield. Eva has been on the local radio but have mentioned to contact the local newspaper. The headmistress at the local school, taxi firms, postal workers, farmers etc.
diane is very positive and is not giving up. Any help from local volunteers would be really appreciated. Come on Eva, time to come home!! - 2012-03-04 23:08 Unknown

- I have just spoken to Eva's owner and she is doing a fantastic job of spreading the word. As Lizzy mentioned the dw, vets notified, posters up around the area, local radio station. She is out with her other dog scenting the area. Hartington is in the Derbyshire Dales but close to High Peak and Staffordshire Moorlands so have recommended these DWs are contacted too. Have also mentioned how to behave if Eva is seen.

- Thank you Lizzy for the phone call about this little one and for contacting the owner.
I have changed the area over to NW and we will contact the owner too and offer more advice - 2012-02-29 19:22 Unknown

- Spoke to owner, she is deeply upset over Eva missing, she is 5 years old and never wonders off. They do get quite a lot of people walking in the area, so she may have been picked up by people thinking she was lost. Owner has phoned local radio station and has handed out leaflets to walkers, she has contacted vets and DW and will contact microchip company.

- Sorry to see that EVA is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (37524)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
